Looks good, I wonder if they will throw in elements from demon in a bottle arc

nope...

shane black done already said that it ain't happening. he saw how badly it was botched in Ironman 2 and he knows knows that if he were to go that route he would have to go all out and it would essentially become tony being an alkie for the whole movie and be pretty dark and he doesn't want to do that at this time. i'm sure marvel doesn't want that either since it would take the fun vibe outta tony stark and they don't wanna fukk up their cash cow.

:bryan:

Not surprised, in part 2 he was acting like a frat boy in Cancun instead of a man with deep issues

:mindblown: @ Ben Kingsley being both Indian AND Chinese in Movies!!! :ohhh:

Ben Kingsley is half-Indian. His real name isn't even Ben Kinsgley, but some Indian name.

The Mandarin won't be Chinese in this movie. He was a villain created during the racist Yellow Peril/Communist paranoia days, which is why he was a racist stereotype of a pseudo-mystical Asian man. Iron Man was supposed to represent the power of American capitalism against the evil Asian Communist threat, just like Captain America was supposed to represent American values against the Nazis.

In Iron Man 1, we already saw that his Rings organization, instead of being Chinese as in the comics, was a Middle Eastern/Central Asian/South Asian terrorist cell, so they'll either update him by making him brown-ish, or keeping his race nondescript (this would be a better idea than going for a racist brown stereotype.)

Charlize Theron is "technically" African...maybe she should get cast as Storm for the next X-Men movie.

Your comparison makes no sense and honestly you should've known that before you even typed it out.

She's "technically African" because she was born in South African. Ben Kingsley is racially half Asian because one of his parents is Asian.

Understand? And :wtf: at the people co-signing you. The difference isn't hard to understand.

What?

they never touched that topic in Iron man 2. The stuff he was drinking was keeping him alive.

Ben Kingsley is half-Indian (Gujarati to be exact which would make him a Caucasoid when categorizing racial makeup)) so just because he has racial ties to a people that are from the continent of Asia doesn't equal out (even technically) to him being the acceptable chocie for playing a character of Mongoloid racial makeup which is what the Mandarin is supposed to be since he is Chinese/English.
My Theron example was supposed to be just as ridiculous as the assertion that Kingsley being half Indian was pretty much the same as being Chinese just because of the continent the ethnicities originated from.

Marvel Studios President talks about the Mandarin:

We get a glimpse of Ben Kingsley as the Mandarin — an international terrorist whose personal style is a mishmash of different cultures and warrior motifs.

We know that the Mandarin sports The Ten Rings, which symbolize his terrorist organization of the same name (the one that kidnapped Tony Stark in the original Iron Man film).

But what mystical power do they contain of their own? Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said this version of the Mandarin will have a different backstory from the comics, in which he was a Chinese exile who discovers a crashed alien ship and harnesses the power of the 10 rings aboard it to unleash havoc on the world.

Feige says we won’t get ice rays and fire beams from these rings, like in the comics, but what will we get? Smart money says they’re not just because the Mandarin has won a lot of Super Bowls.

I was hoping they would have him shooting ice beams with one of the rings but I am curious to see what the chnages to his ring's power set are going to be.
