This was part of that 1999 soundtrack as I chased the remaining GMC RTS buses all over Houston as their long reign began to rapidly wind down over the next two years. 19 fukking 99. That was also the number of one of the aforementioned RTS buses which had been retired that same year.

You could count on 97.9 playing that track seemingly every 15 minutes. As reliable as the old 42 - Holman Crosstown.

1999 - 2002 are my favorite years of my life.

Yeah I remember hearing about it when they did a history of the 1619 slaves. As you know they weren't lifetime slaves at that time but I can't remember the details but the point is her ancestors where in this country way before it existed. She is truly FBA.
