Trump is gone on Jan 20th. He can’t create a national emergency to prevent that. It’s just he would leave a huge mess for Biden to deal with. If Biden calls for a ceasefire he will be seen as weak from the right and that he allowed Iran to kill US servicemen and raise the white flag. If Biden does continue the war it would anger the base of the Democratic Party which is very war weary. Not to mention the economic, geopolitical and military disaster that would come from this that would wear down the Biden administration.
