I can’t front I switched to apple when the 11 pro max was released and over time it’s kind of sucked. That last update was terrible and the experimental features turned on automatically and I couldn’t do Jack shyt online
On the one hand, I could see this since other companies have shown that it’s possible to operate a business just renting off of Verizon and AT&T towers. On the other hand, I always assumed that VZW/AT&T rented out the mid frequencies (or whatever the correct term is). I can’t picture Apple accepting mid service and I couldn’t imagine VZW/AT&T renting non-mid frequencies at a price at which a profitable business could be sustained.
They’ve already been doing thatHere’s intriguing part: what’s to stop Apple from jacking up the sale cost to make that buy in full “option” not really an option.

you haven’t noticed how much phones have went up the past few years?
didnt the Galaxy Note cost like $1500 or some ridiculous price close to that?
I remember when them shyts used to be $700-$800
I swear each update has a bug in it to stop prior models from working at 100%. The 15 update got my messages all glitchy, always crashing etc.

Why is your text manually black? The idea is to beam internet service directly to devices like the iPhone, iPad, and Mac to provide access to the web all without traditional wireless networks and cell towers. That could be absolutely huge for the Cupertino, California-based company, if true. It could, in theory, make it possible for the company to bypass ties with internet service providers, doling out its own service along with its devices.
Apple would be using their own satellites, not leasing cell tower bandwidth.
that wouldn’t make any sensea lot of people still buy phones outright. I’m one of them. Cuz it’s financially is better than the monthly charge. If Apple artificially raise the price to $2k but offered payment plans with monthly charges based on a $1k cost, I would go the payment plan route. That’s what this “subscription based hardware” option allows them to effectively do.
Not if they prefer the subscription based path. That’s kinda the point of the thread.that wouldn’t make any sense
im pretty sure they’d prefer people buy the phones outright
theyre just doing this for the broke boys who can’t afford to pay for the phone all at once
