Interstellar is probably my favorite movie, ever. The first time watching that shyt, from the realistic depiction of time relativity, to that big ass fukkin wave on that water planet, to the Tars scene where they stop the station from spinning outta control, to the music...shyt was an amazing ride while high to put it lightly.
Those AI bot designs were dope as fukk too.
For me its right up there. I got the same "blown away" feeling I did when I watched The Matrix, (and Inception to a lesser extent). I watched the Matrix as a teenager so my nostalgia wont let me fully admit that Interstellar is a far superior film. I guess the feeling at the end of Interstellar had me a bit depressed as opposed to the end of the Matrix.

Interstellar is a pretty great movie.
Cool science concepts, cool visuals, solid storyline, good flow of story, only thing I wish they'd have done is kept the original ending, and given the Black character more justice, which is what I want out of most movies.
Was one of the best movies to come out in 2014.

What’s the original ending?

As an aside, my Meyers Brigg personality type is INTJ. Apparently, Christopher Nolan films are geared toward INTJ personality types which is why I think it resonated with me much. Interstellar is ranked as being one of the most INTJ movies along time inception and I think Dark Night.

What’s this INTJ personality thing ? I Loved interstellar and inception. Dark knight not so much.

Interstellar is one of my favorite movies. Had a deeply spiritual undertone to it which is why I went from a person of faith to becoming an atheist.

We are the saviors that we seek.

And I’m a classical music fan. And thought the soundtrack was outstanding. With movies like that, the music tells part of the story as well and you will find just that in many of the scenes. It’s easy to overlook though if you are not familiar with music.
This movie made you an atheist

I LOVED that movie. I just reached it a few weeks ago. The part when they go down to miller's planet for like 2-3 hours but freaking 27 years passed for the guy on this ship. That gets me everytime. The black hole part still confuses me. And the fact that he came back home looking the same and his daughter was on her death bed as a grandma. shyt is wild.

The movie was good on some scientific and exploration shyt, but it wasn’t sad. The man should’ve never went to that water planet or went into the black hole. No living being that we know exists could survive entering a black hole.

When they got back from the water planet, breh on the ship was like

“Y’all back? It’s been like 20 years and I’ve been doing research.” I would’ve slept in the capsule as soon as they left the ship.
20 years of loneliness.

It was a good movie.
Even though it wasn't the best ending it still had some payoff.

Unlike Annihilation :scust:

How you gonna spend 95% of the movie keeping me on the edge of my seat completely engaged and then give that bullshyt-ass-climax looking like some shyt from 1990's killer instinct????? :gucci:

He was being nice, they rape the fukk out of physics :mjlol:

I didn't like it. They wasted almost an hour on some stupid Earth family drama and hid the whole lame ass reason earth was dying like it was a big secret. The whole father-daughter drama was lame to me too.

There were elements I liked like Matt Damon going nuts, but just the pacing, corny setup, and a hard science movie that doesn't give a fukk about science, meh

That first hour, father/daughter dynamics was character development.

You will probably love Michael Bay's Transformers franchise:obama:

Interstellar > Arrival but the concept of Arrival kinda fukked me up.

Language shapes the way we think, act, and feel. English, by linguistic standards, is a crazy, fukked up language. The world is controlled by English-speaking/thinking(if not first then at least second language) people, which is why it's so crazy and fukked up now :dwillhuh:

It's not that simplistic. Just showing a bunch of bullshyt drama isn't "character development." Watch the movie "Adrift" I mentioned and how the "character development" is interwoven with the flow of the movie. No need to sit through an hour of a soap opera and pretend like "Earth is dying" is some twist ending that has to be hiddn from the audience.

Arrival was hot trash

Arrival has a lot of the same flaws. Hollywood decided the magic formula is "movies guys like plus strong female lead plus soap opera drama to 'keep the womenfolk engaged'". None of these movies know how to do drama without making it feel like it's a part of the story and not some artificial crap slapped on for marketing reasons.
