So you sell a disc version of the PS5 for 500 and keep all revenue. Customers buy Spidey 2 separately.

or sell a bundle version with Spidey 2 for 500 and give 35-50 percent to Marvel.

This is what they evolved into. It was a slow process but when you spend what they spend making these games taking major risk is off the table. If people respond to what you're doing you just keep doing it. It's a vicious cycle of them spending more and more on these games and because they're so expensive they diversify their line up less and less.

Why can't other companies do the same?

GAAS is not a standard that is sustainable for the vast majority. If you get lucky then yay. But most haven't and won't. The evidence and other's results has clearly shown this too.

If the single player narrative games start failing then they'll have to pivot. Buts it's highly unlikely due to the quality and care they put into them.

Cats get mad because their favorite company can't do it as good.

They used to do more than that and they’ve been constantly stripping those sorts of games away.

Nintendo makes a very diverse lineup of games that actually appeal to a wide variety of consumers. Nintendo can have Metroid, Fire Emblem, Pokemon, Mario Wonder, Zelda TOTK, Xenoblade, and Pikmin and almost all of those games have limited to no similarities. Many of them are entirely different genres of games.

I would say Microsoft given the franchises they own will also end up with a pretty diverse lineup of games as studios put out more of them.

Not denying this, but at this point it doesn't matter if it's good. And they have proven that they make not only good, but GREAT games. But people ignore the fact that some are open world, some are RPG, some action RPG just because they see the camera angle. Like my man @The G.O.D II said, hopefully their new FPS and shooter games are good. Gran Turismo is their legacy title and still the premier console sim racer even today. And you also ignore the fact they have the Traditional RPG game on lock even if it's not first party. But people see only what they want to see when they have an agenda.

Nintendo gets away with shyt others can't. These same games on Xbox and Playstation would be getting 6s and 7s whereas on Nintendo they get 8s/9s/10s.

Don't disagree, but the problem is the suits running Xbox have ruined the brand to the point no one fukks with them like that. And many of those games they have now in their stable aren't gonna make people buy XBoxes even if the games are good to great. They still trying to buy their way to the top and don't have the cache in people's minds to be trusted. What compeling titles do they have dropping in the next year or so? Avowed? No one cares. Hellblade 2....that shyt while looking great ain't selling Xboxes. Starfield wasn't what some wanted it to be. Blade should be dope, but there's no guarantee that shyt even drops on the Series X/S! Call Of Duty is still multiplat for another decade. I just don't know what they can do when consumer belief in the brand continues to trend downward everywhere.
