So many shows have tried to recapture the magic on insecure

Blackish is the family sitcom that channels were trying to get for a long time

The thing about Insecure is that I watched and at these broads for 5 years. And every time I had to remind myself...its called Insecure . Once they grew up and got it together it was over. You basically watched 2 young women grow up.

Blackish took the Cosby legacy baton from My Wife and Kids and Bernie Mac and took it even further by having its own A Different World which as also good in its own right. My only gripe was that it got a little to cartoony but it stayed funny and sprinkled in real shyt so I fukks with it.

South Side had GOAT potential though.

The Chi looked like it was on its way the first 2 seasons. Then they fired Jason Mitchell and went downhill

Firing Mitchell wasn’t so much the issue, not replacing characters was the issue with that show

TV fell in general because of reality TV being cheaper to produce and it swelled up for a long period

To act like there isn’t good/great or at the least quality TV for blacks now is just delusions

And to act like everything back in the day was timeless, i just flat out false.

Cause them last seasons of Martin wasn’t it. And Martin to me is right up there with Eddie Murphy
