All facts. Ro Khana a major loser too. I was suffering from second hand embarrassment when Cenk was interviewing him, and Ro talking about trusting Biden and Manchin.

Huge L on every progressive that voted for that corporate bill. This sucks and it's going to sting for a while.:francis::francis::francis:
Politicians are politicians. Khanna, Jayapal, and even The Squad are about self-preservation first. Doing everything they can to maintain their jobs and connections.

You got people on here staining politicians or aspiring to be part of the black political elite, but we have to organize and start this movement ourselves. THey have no incentive do anything until they are forced too.

And when it does pass....
This shift you have made from arguing the merits of anything to just being DNC spokesperson is interesting….

Like it’s to a point where I don’t think any of us have any idea what you stand for or believe in except the idea that Democrats are generally good and there should never be any critique of Dem unless you’re critiquing the left wing of the party.

And the idea that the make up of HL posters should stop them from arguing for progressive politics is kind of weird unless your take is that people shouldn’t advocate for anything that doesn’t directly support their economic interests - in which case - you should have no beef with any Joe Manchin does or any Republican. Like you actually think the people in here advocating a higher minimum wage are minimum wage workers? Could that sort of person be posting on here during the work day? Literally 98 percent of the shyt I advocate for on here doesn’t benefit me.

I'll give the squad their credit since they held back and said they were voting against it when the progressive leaders folded. Khana and Jayapal straight up pathetic. I'll even criticize Bernie for trusting Biden on the Senate side. Like wtf ... They gutted medicare expansion benefits. This is what he was campaigning for two presidential runs. :francis::snoop:

Terrible negotiations and failed leadership with progressives on HOR & Senate.

My position has not changed since the first page.

I've always said the bill will be passed, it will be watered down, and you guys will spend more time complaining about what isn't in than what is that will tangibly improve people's lives.

Get back to work and out of your feelings.

At this point, i feel like its optics. They still need The Squad to get progressives excited so its fine that they vote against the bill knowing they have enough votes to pass it.

Its pathetic as fukk.

At the end of the day he's an old boring man that was not the first choice for the majority of Americans and Dems and he was propelled to the front almost entirely based on electability and not being a transformative force.

He is and has been a relic of the very institutions that have allowed themselves to be bogged down and not be reflective of what the electorate wants and needs.

But he's always been that. Pardon me for not pretending like this is something new.

I'll just keep quoting myself everytime y'all do this strawman when things aren't going how you predicted.

Projecting? I don’t go around boasting about attending a fish fry. :heh:

Or the work you put in your town. You want to be in the black political elite and get upset when those figures are criticized. Ain’t no need to deny what’s clear.

edit: and to be clear, I’m not mad about it either.

I'm just an involved citizen. The fact that my involvement in the community bothers you is something you need to deal with personally.

I don't think any of yall are actually as active as you project because if you were you wouldn't constantly get it wrong.

Let's talk about how progressives folded? Or did they make a decision that helps Americans instead of one that hurts them?

I’m not bothered at all.

I’m not nor am I projecting it. I’ve been reading a lot of economic theory and political history and have realized that working with politicians don’t work. I used to attend and organize events and such as well, but I am realizing that those approaches don’t work and have never worked. And they don’t help black and poor people. I consider it evolving.

The BIF sucks and it's filled with corporate hand outs. Also, the progressives folded. It is what it is.:manny:

That's fine. And im Cool with people feeling this pieces of legislation fell short of what was pitched because that's the reality. :manny:

I gave them too much credit. It just seemed to be to colossal of a failure for them to not have some sort of guarantee.
