Under the British Empire. Cacs took hundreds of thousands of indians from India as slaves to come to Kenya to build train tracks & infrastructure. After Kenya got their independance from the british empire, a lot of indians settled in Kenya & never went back to India.

Thats why Kenyans are finally accepting these Indians as Kenyans as they have been there for decades.

The Indians weren't slaves. They were higher up in the social hierarchy than the local Bantus and Nilotics, just below the cacs. They had an advantage over the Bantu and Nilotic majority when it came to trade due to their position and have managed to dominate Kenya economically ever since.

You don't have to buy anything. I gave you my experience living in Nairobi with Indians. Living amongst them as few Kenyans do and even going to school with them (their schools). You can believe what you want but they are not our people and we don't accept them. They even buy their kids better grades. You are being naive you think that it's some fair playing field out there for everyone. They have power where it matters in the capital city.

Maybe you missed the other 43 tribes but Kenyan is not an ethnicity, it's a nationality that encompasses many peoples. You might need to touch down there to understand how that plays out. I am not saying you should accept them as "your people," or that things are fair. I'm saying that Indians are there because of historical circumstances and have made the best of it all things considered.

Those people came from the lower caste merchants and farmer classes in India, they used the skills of their caste to build themselves up regardless of what country they happened to be in.
