They are known for nepotism and corruption. That's the main problem. Bribing and paying their way in and out of everything. They don't respect the natives and don't intergrate well.
We have never welcomed them with open arms at any point.

What is nepotism other than looking out for your own? Isn't that what everybody should be doing? Indians didn't ask to be brought over there, but they are a part of the societal fabric whether you like it or not. Why should they compromise their standards to placate others?

I thought Indians had a significant power, but actually, they do not. They have the steel sector on lock, but even that's slowly moving away from them. Politically, they have no power. Kenyans do. Someone earlier said they don't assimilate, and that just isn't true at all. They are woven into the society and treating kenyans 'bad' would not work in their favor because they are a small minority and would literally receive backlash. They have no power to be able to do such a thing unlike cacs in south africa who make up the police force. In Kenya, natives make up the police force, politics, judges, EVERYTHING. Indians wouldn't stand a chance if they tried to treat natives terrible, they don't have that kind of power. People mistake them having certain sectors on lock, as having power, that's not quite how it works. AAs could have telecom on-lock, but you best believe they'll have to pay kick backs to the govt and wouldn't be able to control or treat cacs wrong. That's how it was explained to me.

It goes beyond just employing their own. It's about intolerance of natives. From how they treat them on their business premises to discimintion in employment. They were left holding positions of power post colonialism which they use to stay above the natives. Consolidate power and wealth amongst their own and are known for corruption. Stealing and embezzling money that then leaves the country with their children. It's cute that you want to chime in on the topic but not necessary, educate yourself first...
The British themselves set up a system where they were on top the Indians below them and above the Blacks. To this day not much has changed even in the absence of the colonizers because these same Indians sit above the natives. Using nepotism to stay there and this is what you support. These people are not Kenyans.

As someone who has seen and frequented the markets of Joburg where Kenyans, Ghanaians, Nigerians regularly trade I can confirm this is greatly exaggerated.
Maybe 1% actually assimilate and intermarriage is pretty much almost non existent. Someoone is feeding you pure lie.
They have been there for over half a century and only NOW are you seeing Indian kids who claim they are Kenyan.
I went to a Sikh grade school in Nairobi brehs. Those Indians kids did not even play with us during recess. They were just there doing their own thing.
