To immigrate from India you have to have attained a certain level of education, have money for bribery, or have connections.
If you guys knew how many of India's upper-level educated engineers, doctors and business people come to the US, go back to college that's essentially remedial, and go straight for grad school in a high-paying field, you'd be shocked.
Its common with Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Cuban, Nigerian, and Ghanian immigrants as well.
Plus they push the next generation to be bilingual and keep cultural standards while also conforming and aiming for the top.

Funny story. Two years ago I was working retail overnight at a new store just for that day with an middle age indian lady. I had to take the garbage out so I walked to the parking lot and I see a brand new s class. I'm like wtf it's just me and her. This s class can't be hers. I'm thinking its some drunk dude just chilling in the parking lot sleeping to get sober. So I go back inside and joke and say hey that Benz outside is yours right? And she just says ummm yeah

I'm like how the fukk is this bytch a damn assistant manager at a retail store pushing a damn new s class. shyt made no god damn sense and when I asked her a loaded question as to how she could afford it she just ignored me.

Be four adults deep and six children deep in a house where everyone has a Masters and work two jobs.

His dad was a low level IT guy who'd already gotten his Bachelors from some university in Calcutta, six years later his dad is at NASA Glenn.

A lot of their business people emigrating to the US are coming through after being stifled by ridiculous government bureaucracy for years and dealing with uncertain property rights.
When their top potential business people are coming to the US, of course they'll be far more successful.

Black Americans don't value education, flock toward low-paying industries, engage in conspicuous consumption, etc.

Those things make a break a community in terms of building wealth.

This is true in terms of investing in your child education early. But with the rise of college tuition and predatory schools like Everest targeting blacks it's going to get harder

I work with a lot of these Indians and they're ALL coming from banking families. People want to buy into that struggling immigrant success story but that's mostly fantasy.

I hate comparing them to Blacks as they are listed as white by census and treated as white by most financial systems. Black people are screwed on purpose collectively. Our experiences aren't comparable. Only comparisons to make is to is Nigerians and other west Africans. Most ppl on the East of Africa outside of the melanated counties are considered white and most of the South Africans who I have seen have been white.

If you compare west Africans, considered Black Islanders and us. You will see that outside of quarters like New York for Jamaicans, Nigerians in Houston and others in small pockets, most tend to have the same issue regardless of education level. No one is doing it like the Asians and the Hispanics here by design.

My sister compared Nigerians to indians and while many nigerian are doing ok. They are NOT helping other Nigerians as much as indians are.

I used to work for a consulting company IT. I would say over 50% were nigerian males technical backgrounds. In order to get into that field Nigerians were charging 2000 3000 for programming courses. OUT of the hundreds of Nigerians doing contract jobs, I haven't met any that came together established a company and employed other nigerians. shyt is sickening literally. Nigerians out here teaching c++, java, shell, SQL, BI, cisco courses basic youtube shyt for $3000+ dollars. While indians are doing FREE in house training and putting fellow indians on to contracts with salaries $50-60,000. Being that I'm half nigerian I still benefit more from the nigerian community more than other black people. But in comparison to indians Nigerians are MANY STEPS BEHIND.

I literally know many Nigerians who spend thousands of dollars on IT courses that indians teach eachother for free. Nigerians need to step their game up and stop thinking shortsighted.

1 Nigerian(cause he doesn't want to split money)= teach programming course $4000 per person 10 nigerians in course= $40,000. Good satisfied.
4 Indians join together bid for it contracts=teach in house programming courses to 10- indians, put indians on to large IT staffing contract= over $400,000+= great
