None of them are better than 06 Bean. only MJ 88-93 and Lebron in 2013 has an argument.

Wade was great in 2009. But he was never the one on one stopper Kobe was. Kobe would not only score 35 but he would lock up his man one on one. Wade was great off the ball defensively getting blocks and steals. But man to man he was never in Kobe's class.

Only Jordan dominated the game at a higher level than Kobe on both ends.

Insane considering the defense he constantly faced and the lack of any real offense surrounding him, none of the pace & space of today's NBA

Put 2005-06 Kobe in Harden's place with D'Antoni and all that spacing and he averages 45 PPG and 10 APG. At least.

Peak Kobe with actual spacing and shooters would've been ILLEGAL. They would have had to change the rules to allow the defense 6 players to 5.

Clown shyt Kobe didn’t play defense this season. The Lakers defense was better with him off the floor and this is the era that Phil was trashing Kobe’s defense in his book. Kobe was playing the passing lanes and defending when he really had to.

Also, LeBron’s ‘06 season is similar in impact and stats (31.4/7/7 with 2.2 steals) and he won 50 games and performed better in the playoffs. :umad:

Analytics say otherwise. Kobe's differential when he was off the floor versus on the floor in 2006 says he had the GREATEST OFFENSIVE SEASON EVER. LeBron has NEVER had a season as great.

With Kobe on the floor, the 2006 Lakers had the BEST OFFENSE IN THE LEAGUE. Without Kobe, they had the THIRD WORST OFFENSE EVER.

Men lie. Women lie. Numbers don't. The advanced analytics say NOBODY has ever been as good for one season as 2005-06 Kobe.

He played with a team that heavily relied on his scoring and volume shooting which is why his numbers are that high

LeBron has SEVERAL seasons on par with that and in his ‘09 season he had a net rating of +21.2 while ‘06 Kobe was a +12.6 :camby:

I guess you're not very bright. Do you not understand the definition of POINT DIFFERENTIAL. All you posted is evidence LeBron had more talent around him making the game easier of him.

Kobe played with Kwame Brown, Smush Parker, and Luke Walton in the starting lineup. They provided him with zero spacing and he still averaged 35ppg. Put LeBron on that team and he does even average 25ppg.

LeBron needs talent around him to succeed. Kobe can take anybody with him and succeed.

You fukking moron who was LeBron playing with those teams struggled mightily on both ends of the floor when he wasn’t on the court you’re talking about a Mo Williams led team in ‘09 when he’s not on the court

In the ‘06 season LeBron had a +13 on/off on offense. He averaged 31.4 points per game to Kobe’s 35.4 but had superior playmaking and efficiency to offset that. He was in his age 20/21 years old season and his team consisted of a washed Larry Hughes who only played 36 games, Big Z, Drew Gooden, Varejao, Eric Snow, Damon Jones, Pavlovic, Donyell Marshall.

This team was only 14th in the league in 3PT% and a large part is because LeBron is one of the best ever at passing out of doubles and using his gravity and I.Q. in the P&R to generate three point looks

@Swagnificent

You said LeBron would average less than 25 with trash spacing like LeBron’s had great spacing his whole career

LeBron would never average under 25 until he’s :flabbynsick: you fool

In his second season ever at 19/20 years old he averaged 27.2 points per game on a team that was 28th in three pointers made, 27th in three pointers taken, and 27th in 3PT%

His supporting cast was Big Z, Drew Gooden, Jeff McInnis, Eric Snow, Ira Newble, rookie Varejao and Pavlovic, Robert Traylor a complete and utter trash supporting cast

He won the Scoring Title at 30 points per game with a team with average at best spacing in ‘08, 14th in threes made, 15th in threes attempted, 16th in %.

Nikka makes trash take after trash take

‘06 was after the NBA banned handchecking.

Kobe’s numbers were the product of the elimination of handchecking.
