People eventually grow up and realize that looks while important, are still less important than personality. Most people's mothers weren't beauty queens or photogenic. You look at the throwback pics of your friends mothers and 80% of the time they look mid at best.

Dating apps show you what people will date and have sex with, not what they will build anything real with. It's bad ESPECIALLY for men because there are women who will tell you straight up that the reason they married their husband was because of the fact that she got to know him as a person and decided she liked him, not because of what he looked like at first. These dating apps prioritize appearance over substance so unless you're an extremely photogenic man, you'll walk away feeling ugly when you use the apps. I've had friends who didn't have much problem getting women in person absolutely tanking on those apps because charisma doesn't translate well when a person is judging you based off a picture and couple of sentences.
