I know WWE is insistent on pushing Roman Reigns for WrestleMania 31, but I just thought of something: since Brock Lesnar will most likely be the champion going into WM 31, only to drop it to someone... why not Daniel Bryan?
Because with Brock in the mix, in addition to Cena, Reigns, Batista when he returns & maybe even Orton (Wild Card is Cesaro), these are potential for multiple programs over the months from now till Mania. And you would have to think that Daniel Bryan is in that picture, as well. But since the fans love Bryan so much, and we never really got a chance to experience a full-blown length title run from him, let him take as much time as needed to recover from his injury. And if Bryan is going to be out longer, why not just shelve him for the rest of the year?
That way, at Royal Rumble, when it's so highly expected that Reigns will win it, out comes Daniel Bryan as a surprise entrant (#30 for obvious reasons), shocks everyone & wins the Rumble.
It sets up a true David and Goliath matchup for the main event of WrestleMania 31: Brock Lesnar, The Conqueror, The Beast Incarnate, The 1 in 21-1, puts the title on the line against the ultimate underdog and super fan favorite, Daniel Bryan. And if Bryan is the one Brock puts over at the end, it makes Bryan even more incredible, considering that he beat the guy that beat Triple H, beat John Cena, beat CM Punk, and ended The Streak en route to becoming champion.
And I know people will complain about Bryan winning the title at WM 2 years in a row, but didn't Austin do that? What about Cena, Taker? And don't even get me started on Hogan. Plus, it also shows how much WWE is investing in and on Daniel Bryan to get him another chance to run with the ball as THE top guy in wrestling not named Cena.
As for looking for an opponent for Reigns... why not John Cena himself? I think it's more likely Cena puts over Reigns than he would have done for Wyatt, especially if Reigns is still babyface by then.
