I say “ in theory” because these devs still have to prove they can pump out the same quality under the Microsoft banner….but damn

it’s mind-boggling how much talent they’ve acquired the past couple years. they got more Hittas than Sony at this point

IMO, yes, the Elder Scrolls alone is better than all the Sony 1st party title, but other than that Sony has then beat thanks to stuff like GOW, GOT, Horizon, Demon's Souls etc.

I personally like the Sony 1st party games more BUT with the acquisitions M$ made they have WAY more quality 1st party games than Sony. Gamespass is the way to go if you game

Sony just has to continue being Sony. Like I said in two threads, Sony put in the time to develop it's 1st party studios before acquiring them. They were not making anything for anyone else. A game here or there in the PS2/PS3 era. Mostly small stuff, but they weren't taking anything away. A power play but different. Microsoft on the other hand had to buy the competition to strong arm people to buy their console and service, to continue to play titles that people have been playing across platforms for years now. Sony doesn't have to go buy another studio. Plus Sony doesn't have the pockets that Microsoft has. Sony has Japanese homefield advantage though, and make a deal where Square Enix and Capcom are exclusive to Playstation Plus or whatever they're going to call Spartacus.
