The irony is that the south don’t even support him institutionally. His last album flopped by the same region that supports him
Music is not sports. Any artist that's manage to build a cult following, make money off that cult following. Has a song that's stand the test off time. And manage to pivot to other avenues and remained relevant is not a failed rapper.
His music is not forgettable tho. There is a reason why, he still can perform and sellout in all off the South.
And 'Wipe me down' and 'Independent' still get played in the club. And I don't live in the South
