In the South, we can name more Boosie songs than Nas, Jay-Z, and Biggie combined.

I didn’t really listen to much Boosie til probably 09, but I couldn’t imagine liking current Boosie music. It’s legit horrible. His voice used to be unique and spirited, and now it’s hoarse and strained. He’s one of the most unlistenable veteran rappers today. The prison stint destroyed him.

This shyt couldn't be further from the truth. Imagine me knowing more random Boosie songs than Biggie Smalls, Jay-Z, and Nas. They could at least say Outkast, Geto Boys, Goodie Mob, Three Six Mafia, Lil Wayne, 8ball & MJG, or UGK. Not Boosie tho....:mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:

Boosie not even better than somebody like Project Pat :russ::russ::russ:
depending how old he is
that statement probably true

also
what the fukk is up with the project pat slander
i keep seeing post doing that

Trust me breh, once you get through his voice the shyt is amazing. Ima tell you like my real life nikka told me when I was still a Webbie stan, listen to what he’s saying. Pay attention to the words not the voice.

If anything, his voice makes the shyt better especially when he in his pocket rappin that gangsta shyt.

What people who don’t know don’t understand is that people relate to boosie because he is just a real dude. Rappers know his story so he gets the ultimate respect from his peers. Also ordinary people can relate to the dude and you know he’s authentic. I’m biased cuz I know a lot about the dude. I been around him and he’s a real nikka. I know that doesn’t seem extraordinary but most of these rap nikkas couldn’t look boosie in the eye and they damn sure wouldn’t try him.

Qft, Boosie’s subject matter is shyt that ordinary people can relate to. You don’t need complex rhymes to talk day to day struggles just need to come from your heart. It ain’t just thug shyt, you can’t listen to Words of a Real nikka or Can’t Hold It In No Mo and not feel a kinda way...:yeshrug:

Not slander just it's tiers when it comes to rap. Project Pat himself is better than Boosie but definitely not in the same weight class as a Biggie, Jay-Z, and Nas.

I personally connected more with Pat’s music than I ever did those three. Hell, I made a thread on here saying Pat > Big. But that’s cuz my criteria is different.

Everyone has their preferences but Biggie is a better all around rapper than Project Pat. Plus Ready to Die and Life After Death rank higher than Ghetty Green and Mista Don’t Play in my opinion. The Warning and Big Poppa were among the first couple rap songs I could memorize. Biggie is god tier it’s borderline disrespectful to compare certain rappers to him.
