RZA. Drums were his strength from 1992-1996 imo

That kick and bass hit on I gotcha back, especially at 4:00 when the beat fades out... :ohlawd:

Drums on Ghostface's Box in Hand always been sick.

Havoc. snm

Someone on here already mentioned Da Beatminerz... Most songs on Dah Shinin by Smif n Wessun had good drums.

Percussion is something that needs to be talked about more. Buckwild was one of the best with hi-hats and 'christmas bells'.

Lastly, no-one ever talks about Easy Mo Bee's brother, The LG Experience. He always had sick drums.
This beat lacks any clear melody and is almost completely carried by LG's drums

you broke that shyt down to a t
:salute:
Smif n Wessun dah shining if my favorite beatminerz produced album.. i still get amped when I hear or play sound bwoy burriel
I always say Buckwild is crazily slept on. esp with the remixes... in the 90s' your joint wasn't an official remix if pete rock or buck aint touch it.

Lord Finesse.. the guy uses nothing but loud hard hitting drums even the track he did for Dre "The Message" had some hard drums on it.

The production on Dah Shinin is one of my favourite on any hip hop album. The drums on some of the beats on there are so strong that they even work with just a baseline and don't even need much else from other instruments/samples. Timz n Hood Check being a good example of this.

Yeah, Buckwild has made so much good shyt since the 90s, even did that Like father, like son beat on the game's Documentary. Still got a lot more of him to listen to. This buckwild remix has the christmas bells I was on about - have always liked them in hip hop.

Tambourines I like too if used right. Erick Sermon & Redman used them on a couple beats.
