:lupe: Brehs...so think I'm about two episodes away from abandoning the show. I thought the first season was great, if overrated (Seriously, Damien Lewis deserved an Emmy over Cranston? Come on:rudy:), & the first several episodes of the second season were brilliant. After that it just went off the rails and got ridiculous. So far this season is just dull. I think they should probably have pivoted to focusing on Quinn and his black ops world, which is both interesting and mysterious, rather than the Brady family. I'd like to think this will pay off but I don't really trust the people making the show to do that. Apparently most of the top creative people involved with making the show have left or, in one case, died, so it's hard to have much confidence in the stragglers to keep the show alive and compelling. :shaq2:

Regardless......I'm still hopeful that all the pointless drama so far this season (Dana & that Dexter kid, Crazy Carrie, Saul being a dikk, Quinn all of sudden growing a puzzy ass conscience) is leading SOMEWHERE. I really hope Showtime didn't let the Dexter writers speak to the Homeland writers; otherwise we're in for an extremely pointless and disappoint season with a bunch of throwaway subplots that go nowhere:camby:
.
Here are my hopes for this season:
1. Dana is being groomed by Dexter kid to be a terrorist :demonic:
2. Saul has a good reason for throwing Carrie under the bus and making her go crazy again - other than just keeping her away from the media.
3. If Saul doesn't have a good reason, Quinn takes him out. :banderas:
4. Brody becomes radicalized again and teams up with some new people :myman:

Episode was good enough IMO.

I was surprised to see Luther Mahoney from Homicide pop up in this episode as the doctor.

And they are making her look really plain too but Nazanin Boniadi is a beautiful woman.

Homeland’s newest recruit has already undergone a secret mission of her own, having reportedly been vetted by Tom Cruise to become his Scientologist wife.

Actress Nazanin Boniadi, 31, who plays CIA analyst Fara Sherazi in the news series ofHomeland, was one of dozens of women screened by the Church of Scientology to find a suitable wife for Cruise.

Boniadi, a former Scientologist, was singled out by the Church because of her petite figure and medical degree, according to an article inVanity Fair.

She had a short relationship with the actor in 2004, before he dumped her after two months because he allegedly said he “wanted someone who has her own power- like Nicole [Kidman]”.

The actress, then 25, is said to have undergone a strict screening process to see if she was eligible to become Cruise’s wife.

The Vanity Fair article alleges she went through a month-long preparation that involved having to telling a Church official in-depth details about her sex life, as nobody who had been in a threesome could be considered.

She was also told to get rid of her red highlights, have her braces removed and dump her current boyfriend.

In the second month of their relationship, Cruise allegedly asked the actress to have her incisor teeth filed down and brought in his hairstylist to change her hair. She was allowed to finally tell her mother, also a Scientologist, that she was involved with Cruise.

The article says her mother reportedly had to sign a confidentiality agreement about their relationship as well.

When Boniadi was later sent to a Scientology centre in Florida following their split, she broke down and told a friend about her secret relationship with Cruise. Her friend later reported her.

The article, which never quotes the actress but relies heavily on a number of “close” sources, says: “Boniadi’s punishment was to scrub toilets with a toothbrush, clean bathroom tiles with acid, and dig ditches in the middle of the night.”

The Church of Scientology denies the allegations. Karin Pouw, a spokeswoman for the Church, told The Independent: “We stand by the statement we issued last year: there was no project, secret or otherwise, ever conducted by the Church to find a bride [via audition or otherwise] for any member.”

Boniadi has since left the Church of Scientology. In 2012 she featured in an anti-Scientologist rap that appeared on YouTube, in which she said the lines: “But we all know how it is, there ain’t no road to freedom. It’s a blind alley, like Kirstie Alley, Travolta and Cruise, but we ain’t no fools.”

Her other TV credits include How I Met Your Mother, 24 and Grey’s Anatomy.

Its interesting people are comparing this to 24 but the dull slow buildup of these first few episodes is the exact opposite of 24. It looks like they are actually working on character development and laying the groundwork for something big. 24 was nonstop action which is what some of you want

Season 2 always get compared to 24 cause of the past paced story and all the action

I loved season 2 though

People complaining about the fast pace story and Brody are whats gonna make this season wack IMO

the writers obviuosly are listening to those people and are trying to make this season the exact opposite of the last which is a mistake IMO

I used to love coming to these threads to see what the breh's had to say about each weeks episodes.

But all I see in every show thread is b!tching about how every show fell off and is not as good as 'BB'

I mean EVERY SHOW THREAD for the new season, I don't even think I'm going to set foot in the Walking Dead thread any more, you'd think no one was a fan of the show over there. This one is about the same.
