Your example is NOT a good one...
I understand Walter not killing those two tweekers that Jesse considered his friends...That is the example that you posted...There is no point killing a foot soldier because he is stupid, the risk outweighs the benefit...
Jesse WAS NOT no foot soldier...He was getting a cut of the PROFITS...He was a business partner who was liability and set with FEDS and SNITCHED....
Any Drug Lord who does NOT kill a guy like Jesse will not reign for more than 2 years...He or She is setting him/herself for VERY LONG vacation with the FEDS...
Name one drug lord who didn't kill a BUSINESS PARTNER who sat with the FEDS and SNICTHED, and is still alive and free and carrying on with business as usual...?
Walter was suppose to be some kind of genius chess player drug lord...And he couldn't make the easiest move and kill Jesse...?
What's the point of Walter poisoning a little boy when he could have easily just taken Jesse out....? Why would a genius use a strategy that requires so MANY moving parts when the most efficient strategy was killing when tweeker...?
I enjoyed the show, but the Jesse storyline took it down a BIG notch for me...Jesse didn't fit after Season 1...They should have move on to Walter vs Gus...
Season 1 - Walter comes up with Jesse
Season 2 - Walter becomes successful with Gus
Season 3 - Walter's greed makes him fall out with Gus
Season 4 - Walter vs FEDS
Season 5 - Walter's reign comes to an end
And the Jesse storyline would NOT be required beyond Season 1...The producers of the show were just afraid to kill off a main character...Typical for many American shows...
This is why I am really enjoying The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones...Main characters get killed to advance the plot, and they are doing it in a way that makes sense...
The BB people wanted to kill Jesse after Season 1, but chose to let him live for sentimental value, and they didn't do anything with the character after that...
