Of course the ATL
Sucks because with the way Trae’s playing if Huerter and Collins were in there we’d legit have like 6 or 7 more wins

i try not to think like that b/c you drive yourself crazy with the what if’s. Truth is we’re one of the worst teams in basketball and if the team doesn’t improve soon this year might end up being a step back in the process. I was led to believe we had a better overall team this yr and truth be told we really don’t

True, and with that we have to remember that progress isn’t always necessarily linear

This. What this season is will be determined by the last 20-30 games. If we can get to full strength, the rookies get and put their experience to use, and our top 5 settle into their ideal roles moving forward then this season will be a success. The next 30-40 games will probably put us out of the playoff hunt but should provide a buffer of sorts for an end of season run so that we still end up with a top 10 pick. As long as Pierce and the coaching staff are working on the rooks behind the scenes to learn from and improve their play in game, this season will be some level of "successful" :manny:

Exactly...the win loss record for me was never gonna be how I defined success this yr. I wanted (and still want) the rookies to consistently play well, Trae to take the next step and this team to develop an identity. So far Trae has done his part but the rest of it has been really inconsistent or just plain bad. That’s what I’m saying when I say we might take a step back. I need to see if Cam can be a legitimate rotation player...right now I don’t know that. I think I know what Hunter & Bruno are. Jabari can score, Len is trash. Outside of that we’ve regressed so far

Some folk that don’t watch the hawks don’t know how much losing Collins and Huerter, killed this team. Right now it’s clear to me that Rui Hachimura is better than Cam and would have been better than “Always underachieving” Cam Reddish. What do y’all think about Rui vs Cam ? Am I overreacting ?

Right now I would take Rui but he did come to league more polished than Cam did coming out of Gonzaga
