AI ONLY was the first pick cause Duncan, wisely, went back to school.

This too 95,96 it was mad pressure on duncan to leave school cuz he woulda been the next great big man and the #1 pick in whatever draft he entered but he promised his moms(who died when he was 14) he'd get his degree 1st

Terrible is a strong exaggeration

Nene played 16 games in 07:beli:

Iggy just got more opportunities when AI left, and they still didn't do shyt.

Also, for you to Call him a chucker...makes me question if you watched him. You couldn't stop this dude from scoring in his prime. Also, his percentage isn't good because he HAD to shoot so much, because he was the go to guy. Most of the time the others he played with couldn't score worth a shyt. Look at Kobe last year, what was his percentage? Not so great because he had to do all the scoring, even if he had pau and Bynum , and AI damn sure never had them either.
Nene played in 64 games in 07.

Iverson couldn't be stopped? Iverson shooting below 40% says otherwise. Kobe wasn't efficient last year. His shot selection was the main reason for that. If you aren't hitting your shots PASS THE BALL. There are plenty of players that had to carry the scoring the load that didn't have the horrendous shooting percentages that Iverson had.

Iverson was streaky. When he was on, he was hard to stop, but more times than not he was off.

We're talking about Kobe here, not some regular chump. Doesn't matter if Shaq was the man, Kobe still contributed more to his team than AI did. Also Kobe carried his team all throughout the western conference playoffs(the actual finals, ask the Kings and Spurs) which is a FACT

again.. skills is not the factor.. body damage..phsyical abuse... :shaq2:

In hindsight, Kobe would obviously be the first pick.

After that, it'd be a toss-up between Nash, Iverson, and Allen.

The Raptors picked second and were absolute trash, but they already had Stoudemire at the time, so they probably would still take Camby, maybe Allen.

Iverson would probably go to the Grizz. Allen to the Bucks and Nash to the Wolves instead of Marbury.

For the record, Nash had a better career than Iverson. The Canswer was more talented and at his peak a better player, but Nash has been better long-term, easier to build around and every guy in the league would choose to play with Nash over The Canswer. Just ask Melo, C-Webb, Stackhouse, the entire Pistons roster, Larry Hughes, Iggy, etc.

Obviously Kobe is the best pick in hindsight. The only issue is that we never had a straight from HS perimeter player go number 1 with the exception of Bron who was built like a PF and we never had a SG go number 1 so the only way a team would have taken him number 1 is in hindsight.

what kind of frivolous question is this?

fukk hindsight.. ai the great was a good choice for #1 pick. yall idiots really think ray allen wouldve done better with those sixers than ai? Or nash? or even kobe? kobe wouldve taken thos squads nowhere. kobe got to where he is today, because his hatred of eddie jones and shaq, fueled his greatness

and nash DID not have a better career than ai. that whiteboy never sniffing the finals, and i like nash. larry brown fukked up by not keeping ai at point.

i dnt care if he was a chucker, ai couldve played point. nikkas like westbrook, rose and jennings play point..smh ai averaged 7 assists in denver

What score first wouldn't choose to play with a pass first player:laff:...and for the record I never heard any of those guys say anything bad about A.I outside of Stack and Webb....and let's be honest I watched the games and Webb wuznt the same damn Webb.

Kobe and A.I my one and 2 favorite players all time...say what u want but him and Kobe have the same damn mentality basically lol....if they teamates ain't scorin cooperation goes out the window and they will take bad shots,if they on a hot streak all cooperation goes out the window as it should imo when u two of the greatest scorers of our time....they bad shots are better than open shots of sum of the nikkas they've played with....the only knock I put on Iverson is that he had potential to be point guard of Magics breed where he could've controled the game and I believe get those bad teamates easy scores if he had the will to really learn that pg position....he could've got 10 assist a night effortlessly without that knowledge and in fact showed it when he first got to denver and wuz tryna prove he wuznt selfish....that only got thrown in the bushes when the team started struggling a bit he abandoned it and went back to what he knew.

Let's be honest tho,he had talent to be top 3 great pg of all time, under rated passing skills and the way he handled and moved with the ball....but coaches never forced his hand to make him a better player....him scoring wuz filling up the seats and taking them to the playoffs....they didn't want the headache of trying to force him to be a better pg,so moved em to sg:mindblown:...but then again they say great pg's are born and not made:manny:

Kobe,AI:salute: when the gawd kobe leave its gon be another sad day....it feels great when your favorite player plays for the tea u root for:to:..but in 96 I wuznt watchin them in college so who knows who id take....but in 1999 id still trade Kobe for Iverson in a heartbeat....id look like a idiot a few years later:snoop:...but I don't doubt for a second we'd still have rings upon rings:noah:..who coulda stopped prime ai and shaq on the same team:shaq2:...gladd I'm not the boss when considering the long term tho:whew:

And another thing, that ain't the same nuggets team chauncey had:rudy: don't get me wrong chauncey wuz a better fit but cmon

na ai is a goat, ray allen would have never taken his teams where ai took his

exactly. its funny how in the 2001 Conference Finals, AI beat Ray, Glenn Robinson & Sam Cassell.

In 2012, we're supposed to believe Ray was gonna take that 6er team further ? He couldn't even get past AI with those 2 All Stars.
