.Unless you can Speak French, it's really only 4/5 West African Countries you can really go to.

Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Gambia.

Gambia and Ghana probably the most tourist friendly, and also boast a small AA Expat Communities.

Sierra leone(Freetown) is probably the most English comfortable country in the West. We got some off the best beaches on the planet. Locals will fukk with you. But it's not tourists place at all. Electricity can be wacky unless you're in Makeni. Like I say it's not tourist place, you're gonna have to mingle with locals

Don't know shiit about Nigeria and Liberia(even tho that's the neighbor)
