Tell that to the hundreds of thousands who died of covid while Trump botched the initial response.
What steps do you think a democrat on the White House would have done differently in the initial response?

There is only one way, work harder, get people registered, protest, sign up people to vote, run for public office etc, just be active and start something productive.

there is nothing conspiratorial about acknowledging that a second trump presidency is far more dangerous than his first term.

one need only look at two recent supreme court decisions to understand the gravity of what a sequel to TRUMP will entail:

- presidential immunity for “official acts,” giving him a license to defy the constitutional guardrails that have traditionally bordered the parameters of the executive office.

- chevron, removing any onus on trump’s cabinet to enforce regulatory measures that protect our environment and safeguard citizens from toxic chemicals. this will pave the way for corporations to have free rein in the pursuit of maximum profit at the expense of people.

these are just two developments that will lead to a ghastly second term. there are dozens of other reasons a second trump presidency will not end up like you think.

Gonna be a lot of fear mongering if Trump wins.

Dems gonna put the clamps on Trump on something. Last time it was the Russian collusion accusation. It'll be something else this time around.

The last 4 years have been awful. Trump could make it worse, but at the very least he's gonna stop the crazy migration that has put a lot of stress on our infrastructure.

The worst thing that could happen is another justice biting the dust and we get another conservative supreme court justice. That will have more impact than whatever policy Trump will try to push.
Venezuelans are coming over here because of the sanctions are government is doing

I don't they will let Trump back in tho

I may be wrong

I mean the billionaires who run shyt

I actually agree with this post. There are super wealthy billionaires, who are conservative, but they don't fukk with Maga. I think it's because the chaos Maga brings to their everyday lives. And don't forget, those protests, after George Floyd got murdered, was scary for rich white people. It was looking like a civil war was gonna pop off in the streets, and it wasn't just black and brown people marching, it was young GEN Z White kids (who are their kids) setting shyt off.

That shyt will be next level if Maga wins. The rich billionaires want peace, and wants to stay in the shadows, they don't want half the country willing to burn it down. Biden's not a great president, but, he turned down all the noise. Every day Trump was president, you had co-workers and family members fighting over his madness. This past 4 years has returned the country back to just everyday life. Rich people, want peace and quiet.

We can start with the pandemic preparedness resources left by the Bush and Obama admins that Trump literally threw away within a year of becoming president. Post-2014 Ebola "scare," the Obama admin threw together a variety of playbooks, masks, ventilators, and other shyt just in case a major outbreak occurred within the US. The initial major problem we faced with covid was the lack of hospital resources, and the government scrambling to acquire masks and ventilators (amongst other things like gloves, respirators, ventilators, gowns, etc). All things the government had a literal pile of that were thrown away (or sold?) by Trump. While states scrambled for resources, Trump told governors they were on their own and shyt out of luck before backlash led to the fed government putting more weight behind finding resources. We were caught completely off guard and people died.

We could also talk about how government entities knew about covid's rapid spread in China yet did nothing to prepare until it was too late. I remember the Coli had threads about the initial reports in China before it hit the US, scientists warned about what was coming...again, nothing was done. Despite constant mentions in his daily briefings, he ignored them or simply didn't read them. Trump claimed nothing was going to happen, bragged about the US having less than 100 confirmed cases, and was completely incompetent. And then once shyt hit the fan he spent weeks/months giving contradicting information, not reacting quickly, and being vindictive to specific states/governors.

People were going to die regardless but the lack of resources and government preparedness made it significantly worse. I'll give Trump a LOT of credit for fast tracking the vaccine but the entire federal government could have done similar things. We could have manufactured hospital resources instead of begging Asian countries for shyt.

And don't forget these wonderful quotables by Chief Oompa Loompa:

(On the virus) "It's going to disappear one day - like a miracle - it's going to disappear.

(On ways to combat the virus) "And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute. One minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning."

(On the death toll rising in the United States) "It is what it is."

Trump could've told his supporters to mask up and follow guidelines, but he was lax on the pandemic and almost seemed defiant in the face of the whole ordeal.

Y'all keep saying that but look what happened in 2016. Hillary Clinton was one of the most qualified(politically) candidates in decades and she still lost to a con man. :francis: No way Trump should still be in the race like this and nearly neck and neck in battleground states after January 6th, the conviction, etc. :dahell:
We're not going back.

EDIT - That quote may come back to haunt me. Don't let me down, Kamala. :sadcam:

I mean these cops pretty much have immunity anyways. Most of these cops kill us and either get off completely or get fired but get a job somewhere else. A few like Chauvin might do some time but it's not the norm.

I agree with you on everything else but cops are some of the most protected people in this country.
I don't disagree. But I think you and I both know the Derek Chauvin types and police would be much more emboldened to abuse their power at a much higher level.

Project 2025 explicitly calls for denying federal funding to local police that don’t use stop-and-frisk for example. Things are bad enough as it is. But I absolutely do not want to live in a country where every local law enforcement around the country is financially incentivized to harass nikkas

Not to mention any chance for future police reform is still a possibility under Kamala. It'll be 0 under Trump
