I was gonna mention him. One of my favorite beats from him below.
ALC is hot but I can't call him the greatest; he's just outside the top 10 for me.
I had to mention DJ Hi Tek who IMO is ridiculous underrated:
6th Sense producer who I think we'll be mentioning among the greats years from now. Love this dude's style:

He's in my top 20 for sure. Maybe 15. He's a victim of era. No matter how good his stuff is it'll just never mean as much to me as classics.

-Agreed completely........while it can be argued he hasn't really had those HUGE moments/songs, he does have sort of a consistent greatness over the "hot for a year or 2" cats that might change the sound of hiphop at the time, but have no longevity. There are a lot of producers that have changed or swayed the sound of hiphop at the time, but they didn't make a lasting impression with a body of work like Alchemist has.
He rounds out my top 5 & on any given day he could crack the top 3

2-RZA
3-Just Blaze/Old Kanye (the tie is a cop-out but I can never decide)
