In all seriousness, at what point do we start saying Alchemist is the greatest producer ever?

Yall are corny, 🤣🤮. Eminem is the best lyricist ever!!! Alchemist is the best producer ever!! Man if you don’t get your goofy corny ass outta here with all that, lol. Alchemist is fire, Eminem is fire, Nikola Jovic is fire!!! Lol, they’re not “that” tho, stop it.

Alchemist might be Top-10 tho, possibly, at this point. Maybe if he has this 2025 that he’s saying he’s about to have you can argue him into the Top 5?? Ion know about that tho…he may get into the Top 10 for me then. Do you know how many producers there have been in the history of hip hop that have been amazing? Think!

Is Alc even better than Hav? Not to me…to be fair tho I haven’t heard everything

When I think of GOAT producers, I think of producers who shifted the sound at least once, they produced iconic songs and albums, they curated careers, they moved culture:

1. Dr. Dre
2. RZA
3. Q Tip
4. Marley Marley
5. Bomb Squad
6. DJ Premier
7. Larry Smith
8. Kanye West
9. Timbaland
10. The Neptunes

Alc clearly has credentials to be top 10 (He is for me), insane amount of incredible albums in his arsenal when it comes to producer debates but he just doesn't have that 1 album that shifted rap in some shape of form....

36 Chambers, Mass Appeal, Mecca & The Soul Brother, The Chronic & The Infamous etc.

That's the only thing that prevents him for being in the conversation with the RZA, Dre, Premo, Pete Rock etc IMO.
At this point he is still the most consistent producer but far from the best. When you speak best producers Alc will need classic albums to stand next to theirs
I hate to sound like a pessimist but sadly this isn’t really possible anymore. Too much music has been released and older heads are too jaded and have heard too much. No one in their 30’s or older is gonna get captivated by a new album the same way they were by golden era albums. Just not gonna happen.

Most of the best albums of the last ten years are still not considered as influential as a lot of golden era music. At least not by old heads.

Younger heads may feel differently. I hear younger heads talk about albums they consider classic that old heads might not like as much.

I think if he locked in with Kendrick right now, he could actually do it.

He’s not and I’m a fan.

Lets not act like he hasn’t ran with Roc Marci rap and production style for the past decade :pachaha:

But since he represents “real hip hop” it’s fine

1. Bandplay
2. Boi1da
3. Hit Boy
4. Turbo

Have been better the past few years to me
