consider yourself lucky if you have parents that have a stable environment for you to live in as an adult. I've been on my own since I was 18. there's no way in hell I could live at home. too much fukkery. my relationship with my mom got a lot better when I moved out.

That's why I had to get up and get out. I love my mom to death but we were constantly fighting. the worst period of my life. I'm glad now I got my own property and space. It motivates you to do better.

I moved out at 28 with over 200k saved, but I still vouch for people to save and take their time. Other cultures do that and they kicking the average American raised minority ass by a wide margin in terms of wealth.

Yeah staying at home isn't a bad thing but you should be saving to get your own. I can't imagine the wealth I would have had if didn't move out at 17. Just couldn't deal with my parents outdated rules.

I advise anybody with cool parents to stay and save. You can buy a house or condo out right without a mortgage with the money you save at home. Paying for housing is your largest expense. You set when you don't have a mortgage

There's a hispanic family living down the street from me with I don't know how many families living in that house. They have a get together and there's like 20+ cars clogging up the street every once in a while. They are building together, and I know just about all of them work. They don't care what people outside think. From my perspective that's fine. There's a lot of things we need to re-learn in the black community. We didn't use to be the way that we are. Families would stay and build together.
