IMO living with your parents is totally underrated. Being a "responsible adult" is a fukking scam

There's a hispanic family living down the street from me with I don't know how many families living in that house. They have a get together and there's like 20+ cars clogging up the street every once in a while. They are building together, and I know just about all of them work. They don't care what people outside think. From my perspective that's fine. There's a lot of things we need to re-learn in the black community. We didn't use to be the way that we are. Families would to stay and build together.
It's the damage that black people had especially the old ones. They were able to get a house and it was hard. So the my house my rules thing started. Got to change that. So many ways you can make it work without being a tyrant. Get out at 18 mentality isn't a good idea. You could help pay some kind of bill and save.

But let's be real....Nikkas are out here doing all types of things they shouldn't be doing. That's why they feel like they have to get away from home to hide what they are doing. I hear you on the way a lot of black parents make themselves God in their own house. There's only 1 God and at a certain age you have to let your kids do them. It's out of their control.

I haven't lived at home for more than 8 years, and I gotta go back for two-three months. I am going to be happy to close to my parents, but I don't understand how people don't want to venture out on their own.

I moved back in with my parents later last year because a past relationship I had fuked me up financially. Living at home 33 years old is WOAT. I am helping with caring for older parents with aliments but my mom always wanna know when im coming home and where I am at. My pops is messy as hell, a low key laid back but beta type who lets my mom run shyt, and his aliments and meds have him sleeping a lot and very lethargic. I gotta constantly clean up after him and hear my mom fuss constantly about him and everything else.

Do you breh. As long as you're ok about your living situation that's all that matters. Venturing on your own has a lot to do with meeting the expectations of other people. As long as your content with your current situation than you good. Use this time to stack bread and improve yourself, the other shyt like women will fall into place

A full grown man doesn't live with his parents. I'm raising my son to have his own. If he has to stay with me and his mother when he's grown that means I've failed him
you have a kid, that's what your supposed to enstil in your seed, but for somebody who dosent have any kids, or girlfriend ect and is at least making an attempt to do something with their life while taking advantage of living at the crib that's a different story, if you have kids at that age I don't think you should be staying at home.

You should only be living with your parents to better your situation and eventually move out.

Saying that putting yourself in a dire financial situation just to 'bang bytches' is hustling backwards and I know a few people like that :francis:

Why? What if you simply don't wanna move out?

Yeah. I mean every situation is different. I know some kids be wylin. But my case was like not staying out all night and the whole you got to go to church on Sunday shyt. Old school black parents especially try to treat their grown kids like little kids. Not too sure about the younger black parents. I think they are more chill from what I have seen though.

well if you must know darling....i already have a saving. contrary to popular belief DrX isn't as foolish and reckless as I'm painted as.

I have 0 expensive and learned how to detach from materialistic goods which means I save 85% of my income. Once I get a job that ll have me paying me a middle class salary saving 20 k will be easy. i was up at 12k a few years ago and if i would've just worked and saved id probably be at 30 easy but lost alot of it trying to get my art off the ground. and chasing my "dream" there's alot y'all don't about lazy drx

I know I can get that back...just gotta endure one year of bullshyt
