It’s definitely crack rocks but if you played the og game then you know this particular part of the story where Rebirth takes place was always dope.

Definitely top 5 games this generation

Edit: I can see some of y’all never played FF 7 when it dropped. It had a lot of mini games plus this has Gold Saucer. You might wanna check out and play the next game

Minigames should not be woven into the main story and I’d say that for any game and not just this one

Definitely the gold standard for JRPG's going forward. This game is the natural progression of JRPG's they should have all been like this a decade ago and the genre wouldn't have fallen off so much in popularity.

Seriously I need people to explain how this isn't a GOAT level game, it was obvious by the end of chapter 3 you're playing a genre redefining game.
Breh let the game breathe first. if months or a year after the fact and it still holds up it’s a valid discussion.

For now everyone is playing the game and they are enjoying the hell out of it which is great. But this has the case of being prisoner of the moment from what a lot of people are saying for a game that is 1 week old.

Man ironically people complaining about mini games is EXACTLY the thing I thought was missing in FF16. I went through my posts in that thread and in literally every post I keep saying a mini game would have changed it up enough from feeling monotonous.

I agree. FF7Remake was a good start and this is the genre defining JRPG. Square's best game by far since the early 2000's. And TBH all the mini games are pretty fun. The only ones that suck are the ones that have you searching for shyt.

Is it the full game? I been purposefully avoiding this episodic, weirdo re-telling of FF7 across multiple platforms until it's one, cohesive, fukking product.

This is such a massive upgrade over the last game it's crazy. Felt like I forced myself to like Remake a bit. It was fun, but the corridors, scripted slow walking and constantly squeezing through shyt, drove me nuts lol

This also dumps all over 16. Best Final Fantasy for me in a long time

Queens Blood is kinda fun and it's the first time I engaged with a card minigame since Gwent
