Imma Just Say It: FF7 Rebirth Is The GOAT JRPG

Definitely the gold standard for JRPG's going forward. This game is the natural progression of JRPG's they should have all been like this a decade ago and the genre wouldn't have fallen off so much in popularity.

Seriously I need people to explain how this isn't a GOAT level game, it was obvious by the end of chapter 3 you're playing a genre redefining game.

It’s too bloated with mini games nearly everywhere you turn and that sometimes take away from the story or hinder progress.

You can't be bloated with Optional content. Just do somehting else instead,

The only ones that are part of the main story were the ones that were part of the main story in the original game, and the made them vastly improved compared to the orignal. No complaints from me on them. But those a few and far between, you were talking about bloating, not 3 or 4 mini games.

Queen’s Blood did not exist in OG FF7 nor did the ones where you had to play just to earn beach clothes to progress in the story didn’t either.

Everytime you turn around and progress in the story another mini game pops up. The fact that you don’t have to win them doesn’t change that notion.

I gotta admit, i didn't like queens blood either. Too hard. I was getting smoked too.
but i never felt compelled to play it. like you said the game progresses either way. I did it in Kalm.
then i skipped the rest of the game, You can even skip the tournament on the ship.
I preferred fort condor, didn't really need two board games in this game. not something i think stops it from being goated though

It is bloated and filled with mini games and open world ass creed filler. I was ready to shyt on it completely but it turned the corner with some of the story beats. I will say this...the shyt is childish as fukk in a lot of ways.

There’s literally multiple minigames every chapter and some you literally have to complete to progress in the story.

Not every gamer cares about games chalked full of minigames.

Again I say this at someone whose put 50 hours into the game already and gotten the plat on the DLC and previous game.
