Y’all wilding. Doc Rivers? Fukk no! Do you not want to win the chip?

Monty is a no for me dawg. Breh made that PHX situation with Ayton a clusterfukk, plus he didn’t make necessary adjustments in game planning and scheming

Vogel is another cac retread that’s not gonna get respect. Overrated.

CP3 is a definite NO. Burned out over the hill and lacks the most important ability of them all- availability.

Not sure if this organization is gonna go into the luxury tax crazy with the new CBA. That remains to be seen.

For PG, I’d love to take a run at Van Vleet. That’s depending on what they do with Jaylen though.

Not excited about these “hot” coaching prospects, so I’d go a different route. I’d look at Kenny Atkinson or Mark Jackson. Maybe Terry Stotts since they were previously interested in him

VanVleet will probably be too expensive

I’d be fine with CP3 as a backup but like you said can’t count on him in the playoffs and he declined sharply this season

Hell no to Mark Jackson, and if they wouldn’t respect Vogel then I don’t see why it would be different with Stotts.

Nick Nurse would be my preference but he’s probably going to Milwaukee

I like the Mark Jackson idea. Players would respect him. Nurse would be good too though. I have a feeling someone else prominent may become available. We’ll see

Unfortunately, the best option was Ime. :snoop:

Shyt is looking like a stressful off-season

Boy Wonder better fix this shyt. He stabbed the Gawd Ainge in the back, so it’s all on him. Got us in analytics hell with his damn protege.

How does Poole and Wiggins make the Celtics better?

Y'all gotta think 3 years down the line. Maybe the Celtics have to take a small step back to patch up the roster in the future.

Y'all still gonna have holes in the front court with old Al Horford and Williams.

Giving brown and tatum the supermax gonna prevent yall from having depth in the future.

Wiggins you get a great defender and Poole who needs a change of scenery.

The East is gonna be unpredictable again next year.

Philly probably won't have Harden.
Milwaukee gotta get more athletic at the wings.
Miami run is fluke
New York please.

All the top teams in the East are questionable as of right now for next year.

Even if this trade does happen there is still a possibility that with a few other roster tweaks the Celtics can come out the East if they replace Mazzula with a great coach

I was thinking the same thing when I was thinking about what this team needs moving forward.

Def need a floor general kind of PG that can shoot some. Those guys you named come to mind. Just going off of the last 2 years, it's evident that they need a guy that can calm them down when things get tight and get them organized to run good offense. When the pressure rises seems like they just shoot 3s and get frantic.
Van Fleet? Cp3? Tyus Jones?

Thoughts?

I think We should explore CP3 as the floor general. Manage his minutes and mix it up with Derrick White.

Grizzlies will need Tyus Jones more than ever now that JA will be suspended for at least half of the season. Marcus Smart will make their team worse. Mike Conley is a more realistic trade.
Stupid shyt. Celtics strength is their guard play. The issue is smart is blocking the their best guard play. Trade smart and draft picks for another big so they can get rid of starting Horford. Anougby or Siakim would allow them to start Williams without issue.

For better worse the Celtics need to hitch their future onto Tatum and Brown and jsut continue to build around it. They have to get desperate now:
Make Toronto an offer they can’t refuse(multiple FRP’s) for Anougby or Siakim. And resign Williams.

Lol, nigguhs got a duo in their prime who at worst is getting them to the ecf, perennially, and dudes want to break that up and get significantly older at the same time:russ: :francis:

They run a variant of Coach Buds offense, so just get Bud. Get you a Udoka type as assistant coach to put they foot off in some asses :dame:

Get rid of Smart, Horford, White, Grant, and JB only if we get an all star caliber player or two in return.

As far as CP, naw, too expensive and injury prone. Give me Mike Conley.

Get Al up outta here, we can get a younger big that can can put in some dirty work with Timelord, Clint Capela might be available. If you wanna go cheap, Drummond and Boogie.

We need an actual power forward. Porzingis is out there but we can’t afford him, so maybe a Jerami Grant or Kenyon Martin.

Our bench sucks badly too, too many unplayable cacs. Let’s bring back Jae, sign Cam Reddish and a Morris twin (one of those twins always available)

Tatum and Brown turn the ball over too much when they handle for too long. It's something that gets exposed against great defenses. I think a floor general type guard would unlock more from Brown and Tatum.

Fam I was the original Smart hater on this site, there is no critique that can be made about him made that I haven’t said ad nauseam :skip:

Another thing with the 2018 team was that there was no star. Everything was done by committee, we relied on ball movement and generating scoring opportunities within the flow of the offense. Tatum & Brown didn’t have the cache to pound the air out of the ball isoing while everyone else stood and watched.

I blame Brad Stevens for Smart’s BS because he did nothing but coddle him and give him free rein to go rogue regardless of how it hurts the team. That 1st half of G1 might have been the best he’s ever looked because it’s exactly what people wanted from him. Put all his effort into defending, playmaking and doing the little things making hustling plays, only shoot when you absolutely have to

True. All I'm saying is the whole "Jayson and Jaylen are losers", "They would have lost with Ime too" is not putting the blame on the poor roster construction to surround Tatum and Brown

Look at that 2018 playoff run and the roster
- Aaron Baynes a Big defensive rebounding Center
- Terry Rozier a combo guard who was decent at playmaking
- Marcus Morris a SF/PF who can play the stretch floor and can shoot
- Shane Larkin a pass first playmaking point guard off the bench
- A way younger Al Horford

And Tatum/Brown isoing is a complete fault of Brad Stevens. He got lucky with his one trick pony NCAA college offense with Isaiah Thomas who was a flash in a can. It only worked in Tatum and Brown's earlier seasons who haven't became stars yet. When they came into their own, Brad Stevens failed to build an offense around them and still used his one trick pony offense thinking it would work

It's on the Celtics management to build a roster around it's stars. And they failed the past 3-4 years

Those are cheap. Lowry is doing that in Miami. Rondo could’ve done that for Boston instead of being retired. They need to upgrade their big situation.

Gabe Vincent is starting for Miami and I’m not entirely convinced he’s better than Pritchard. Max Strus was cut from a less talented Celtics squad. They’re giving minutes to the corpses of Kevin Love & Cody Zeller. Duncan Robinson is the same archetype of a player as Sam Hauser and Hauser hasn’t cracked the rotation in weeks.

Butler & Bam can dominate with that supporting cast but Tatum & Brown can’t with what they have? Nah. It’s the coaching and their leadership

Somewhere tucked deep down inside of me is the belief that the Celtics could pull off a 0-3 comeback. I don't trust them, hate them at times, have been given no reason to believe in them, but for whatever reason could see them doing the impossible. More likely they fold and quit tonight though.

Celtics looking at Vogel as an assistant coach according to yahoo sports.

Get that p*ssy Stephen Silas away from this team. Another Brad Stevens pushover puppet :camby:

Would love to just fire Mazzulla and get Frank Vogel as a head coach though :ehh:
