They hate Tatum
Bad game from the whole team, starting with Tatum, he needs to wake up, been on a slump lately. Refs were horrible too. 2-1 road trip. I’ll take it.
Jaylen Brown playing in the All Star game while sitting regular season games for “personal reasons” was head scratching. Apologize if his absence has to do with a sudden family illness/accident.

The only thing that bothers me about Tatum's game is his constant crying to the refs. It's become a "boy who cried wolf" situation. He complains about almost every missed shot, that the refs ignore him. When he gets legit fouled the refs won't call it just to give him the middle finger. He lets that part of his game effect his defense. He constantly gets beat back down the court. Opposing teams constantly get numbers and easy looks. He won't play as hard in half court defense. He needs to ignore the refs. Realize that the refs are idiots, complain to them when the whistle blows, not during in game action. Derrick will let his offense effect his defense also. But instead of complaining he'll just mope, shake his head for a second, and boom his man is on the fast break. The team has to do a better job of just hustling.

I got to say though Jaylen, post all-star break, rocking the mask, has been outstanding on defense. I think the mask is actually helping him with backdoor cutters on the baseline because the peripheral vision is obstructed, which is forcing him to put himself in better defensive positioning where he can see his man and the ball.
I don't see him turning his head nearly back and forth from the ball to his man like before. And when the ball handler is way up top and his man is in the corner, he's appropriately shading his body towards his man to the point where he can see both the ball and his man. And he is checking off his man and peeling off to attack the ball handler and wreak havoc and turn defense into offense in transition where he's deadly.
He was a beast out there on defense tonight. You could see it. This is a big development for them this year.

Tatum dribbles really high and shoots alot of tough 3s. He been hitting them but i don't think he can consistently be efficient in the playoffs

His focus and aggression goes way too much up and down. Once his emotions get the best of him he immediately shuts down and completely destroys the energy of the team. Frustrating
