LeBron has destroyed defenses in his era with sub-100 defensive ratings. I don’t know why people act like that Mavs series define his whole career.

Yeah, they ate in that era their were many 25 point per game, 50%+ scorers in the 80’s. It was a great era for individual scorers because of pace and lack of zones.

The Celtics were a great team defense for that era but they aren’t equipped to guard players like MJ and LeBron, not with the rules, pace of play, and cacs.

This is just untrue. The highest scorers in that era average pretty much the same today as players in the 80's. Of course the FG% was slightly higher back then because players were not jacking up 3'.s Its way easier to score today, especially for the perimeter players. I don't even know what point you're trying to make or how that's relevant to the 86 Celtics in the playoffs.

Either way, you already compared the 2011 Mavs to the 86 Celtics so that says it all.
