I'm sorry, I just don't see Travis Hunter as a #1 pick...

Travis is probably the best overall player in CFB considering his versatility.

Issue is that he won't be judged as a WR/CB.

He will be judged separately as a WR and then as a CB.....they will determine which position is his strongest (probably CB), and rate him based on that. The WR part will be a bonus but he's not really being rated as a hybrid.

They will say he's the #X-best CB and the #X-best WR. He's not #1 in either category. Combine will help clear up everything. He shouldn't skip it though I know Prime will be in his ear. Him and Shedeur gotta show up and go through all the testing....or folks gonna push them down the board.

If a team is committed to the kid never coming off the field and playing both ways, then he absolutely should be #1 overall because it's two good players at premium positions in one pick. The value is too much to pass up.

That said, I don't think he has the frame for two-way play, nor do I think teams would commit to it how they need to in order to get maximum return on investment.

I'd also add that honestly, the #1 overall pick doesn't have to be generational or game-changing. They don't even have to be the best player available.

The #1 overall pick should be the surest thing in the draft.

Is Travis Hunter the best football player in the draft? Most likely. Is he the surest thing? No.

Bailey Zappe finna eat :banderas:
I’m really hoping he can make it past the first five picks.

Landing this guy and getting one of the top two round RB’s this draft would open up the Raiders potential. Go QB next year or the year after.

Maybe Sanders gets pushed down as his game tape has a ton of flaws. Can’t see Travis getting penalized

I really hope the Titans over reach for a qb with the #1 pick and be foolish enough not to trade down for additional picks :mjlol:

An Andrew Luck type not walking through that door anytime soon :dead:

You can fool the celebs and influencers and old folk that are just supporting Deion, but you can’t fool people that actually watch the game and say - these kids ain’t better than or in the same class as some dudes this year, much less all timers.

Again, if you consume CSU football content all day, you think these dudes are all time greats…

But one step into the real world, does Hunter jump off the map like or would he have been the top guy over these dudes at other programs?

What a dumb son of a bytch, Jaxsonville just gave up left their kidney for the best player in the draft. I guess his NFL insiders didn't see that one coming
