Ight it's a Verzuz battle why is Black Zombies, Undying Love..nevermind this is thecoli
Why are you guys playing Nas like he's some dusty, underground backpacker that made songs that only white metalheads who hate rap for the most part like?
Is he not a successful artist that sold millions of records? Do people not know what "N.Y. State of Mind" or "If I Ruled the World" or "Made You Look" is?
Jay’s hits have aged poorly
Nas has 7 songs on Illmatic that Hov is not touching
the coli.com.hits aint winning against Nasir brehs
Nas Is Like > Big Pimpin'
N.Y. State of Mind Pt. II > Hard Knock Life
2nd Childhood > Song Cry
Made You Look > 99 Problems
You making us Nas fans look bad with this delusional postinghits aint winning against Nasir brehs
Nas Is Like > Big Pimpin'
N.Y. State of Mind Pt. II > Hard Knock Life
2nd Childhood > Song Cry
Made You Look > 99 Problems
No he won’t
And Nas is my favorite rapper.
But Jay would win...For the same reasons Jay would lose to Wayne or Drake...
It’s all about who has the most radio hits. In particular the most songs that made you want to dance. Or the song that was playing that night in the club when you bagged the baddest bytch.

I agree with all of those. All hits don’t hold up. Nelly showed us that.
99 Problems wasn’t much bigger than Made You LookThat's basically what Verzuz is about...
Majority of the viewers wouldn't know 2nd Childhood or NY State of Mind Pt II so Song Cry and Hard Knock Life wins. Big Pimpin and 99 Problems are much bigger songs than whats presented so Jay wins off the strength.
99 Problems wasn’t much bigger than Made You Look
NY State of mind 2 over hard knock life
There was about 800k people watching the Premier RZA battle. But your post is really an indictment on how watered down hip hop became. Basically as we got into the late 90s quality wasn’t as important as marketing and promotion. Rap was real through 96 then it slowly became watered down to where rappers are singers nowadays and nobody wants to even acknowledge that bullshyt isn’t hip hop. Some real the emperors got no clothes shytEvery artist on Verzuz has played nothing but hits. Preemo and RZA's live was the exception--only the 30+ crowd filled it. It also topped below 200k views which means less eyes on it; Jay and Nas would probably quadruple the amount of views and lessen the age range of viewers as they remained relevant through the 2000s.
Verzuz isn't the place for a battle like the Hov and Nasir stans want.
