Hov has too much pop commercial hits that have aged poorly like most of the commercial songs that came out in the 2000s era.

thats not what RZA vs Preemo was about
Every artist on Verzuz has played nothing but hits. Preemo and RZA's live was the exception--only the 30+ crowd filled it. It also topped below 200k views which means less eyes on it; Jay and Nas would probably quadruple the amount of views and lessen the age range of viewers as they remained relevant through the 2000s.

Verzuz isn't the place for a battle like the Hov and Nasir stans want.

Probably not because Hov is the heavyweight at this but like most versuz battles where people underestimate the lesser known artist Nas wouldnt get washed either.

Also these things are more and more about celebrating each other's music so it would be like those Nas/Jay-Z Mixtapes from the 00s

It makes sense that people that care what ab-soul thinks would put NY state of mind 2 over hard knock life.

I fukk heavily with some of those songs, Purple is one of my all time favorite tracks. But how the fukk do you think some of those slow introspective songs would do in this format?

They would do well. This type audience seems to be the ones that appreciate good music.

Why are you guys playing Nas like he's some dusty, underground backpacker that made songs that only white metalheads who hate rap for the most part like? :gucci:

Is he not a successful artist that sold millions of records? Do people not know what "N.Y. State of Mind" or "If I Ruled the World" or "Made You Look" is? :gucci:

You trying to sabatoge NaS:mjtf: Songs like purple, black zombie, you're the man, undying love, and get down isn't beating jay z:gucci:
They're classics but those type of songs aren't moving a crowd in a battle:martin: where's the street bangers:unimpressed:

I love how Naz stans bring up where was Jay in 94 or 96. Since 98 Jay has not only lapped nas by 2000. After 2000 Hov started running backwards and lapped him again. Took a break and lapped him again.

Nas is not on Jay Z level. Stop this shyt.

damn I wish jay never dissed dude. Because forums would be a whole lot better
