I'm sorry but has there actually been a worse president than Trump?

It depends on what criteria you use.

As far as getting the most people killed directly? No, Bush and some others are worse, although he's still terrible.

Most racist/bigoted? Surely the most racist in our lifetime, although I'm sure many past presidents were just as bad as him in that respect.

Stupidest/least competent? I'd say Trump has that on lock.

But I think Trump might be the president that causes the most long-term social and political damage. In addition to undoing decades of social progress, I don't think any other president has had the cult following and unconditional support that he has. These voters aren't going anywhere, which means Trump's (terrible) influence will be around long after the election and his supporters will probably put a bunch of Trump wannabes in office.

That’s my biggest fear. Getting another trump who’s actually effective at governing.

We haven't really felt the legacy of Trump's America just yet because he still has a couple of months left in his first term.

But if we look back at his presidency in say the year 2028 we'll have an idea of just how bad his presidency was.

In real time, it's pretty fukking bad. Definitely worse than Bush's first 4 years.

Nixon or Grant possibly.

I think Nixon pales in comparison. Why do you believe Grant is worse?

I'm thinking about pre WWII or even pre 1900 examination

We all know what the recent presidents got up to and I think Trump is already worse but I'm willing to keep an open mind.

Nah, with the way they handled Katrina it will always be up for debate.
Bro we're wearing masks everywhere with no national testing program. 1,000+ people dying everyday. Every other Western(and Asian) country as at least some semblance of control outside of us.

We're in the dumbest timeline right now.

Trump's handling of Puerto Rico?

This was going to be my reply as well. Puerto Rico got hit by hurricane Maria and an earth quake and the response to both were botched. More people died during Maria and Puerto Rico was never even properly rebuilt we can't really say the same about Texas, Louisiana, and etc.

Everyone in Grants cabinet was corrupt and he had no clue.

def not nixon

Nixon practically singlehandedly expanded black folks into federal jobs...
EPA/Clean Air Act
Desegregation
Moon Landing
Opened up China for better or worse
SALT with Soviet Union

Wasn't even aware of these from wiki
In 1971, Nixon proposed health insurance reform—a private health insurance employer mandate,https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Nixon#cite_note-voluntary-189 federalization of Medicaid for poor families with dependent minor children,[188] and support for health maintenance organizations (HMOs).[189] A limited HMO bill was enacted in 1973.[189] In 1974, Nixon proposed more comprehensive health insurance reform—a private health insurance employer mandatehttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Nixon#cite_note-voluntary-189 and replacement of Medicaid by state-run health insurance plans available to all, with income-based premiums and cost sharing.[190]

As one policy initiative, Nixon called for more money for sickle-cell research, treatment, and education in February 1971[192] and signed the National Sickle Cell Anemia Control Act on May 16, 1972.[193][194][c] While Nixon called for increased spending on such high-profile items as sickle-cell disease and for a War on Cancer, at the same time he sought to reduce overall spending at the National Institutes of Health.[195]

Trump hasn't even come close to these achievements...
