"The Bounce" should've been a single. The flow was crazy and it would've been a cool moment to officially introduce Kanyr as a rapper. This was the best Timbaland beat on the album.

"2 Many" was cool. It sounded like Luda's "Stand Up" before "Stand Up". Still don't understand why he didn't use the song below as it was easily better than Timbo tracks that did make the album:

album was mostly forgettable

but poppin' tags was HOT on the streets and everybody was shocked it wasn't a single/video for it

song is cool but the placement was weird, he was riding the outkast wave and then he decided to put a 5 min posse cut on his albums which he rarely does outside of reservoir dogs.

It was bad. And the title song is just absolutely horrible. I fukkin hated the album when it dropped, and still do.

Even the songs I liked then, like Poppin Tags, and Hovy Baby, I'm not listening to AT ALL. Oddly, only excuse me miss aged well. 02 Bonnie and Clyde...imagine driving to that right now :mjlol:
Oh beehaaave @Alvin :scusthov:

Beat me to it

Tried to bring the flutes and when they heard he was going at Nas after Ether, they turned around and left him
waste of time listening to it, no good songs.

It shouldn't have been a double. "Early This Morning", "People Talking" and "Murda Marcyville" should've been on it, and that would've been a complete dope LP. B.I.G. is still the only MC to pull off having a double with mostly classic joints. The double LP ain't for everybody.
You know Pac stans ain’t gone like this part because you know they gone run in here saying AEOM was mostly classic tracks but that album had a lot of filler and awkward sexual skits on it. That album didn’t need to be a double disk either

Like most double albums, half of the album was dope, the other half was weak.

These joints were all dope:

Poppin' Tags
Some People Hate
Guns & Roses
Show You How
Meet the Parents
Hovi Baby
Some How, Some Way
The Watcher 2

Definitely an album that convinces me that no matter how good your crew is, every rapper can be victim of the Yes Man Syndrome. Jay prob has the best crew of ears ever for a major rapper. Guru and Hip Hop picking beats while Just Blaze/Kanye/Bink compete for placements. Not to mention the legends that were constantly coming to D&D to drop off beats or listen to shyt. And despite all that he still fukked the double LP up. It def has good tracks, and I like some that others may consider corner (Guns & Roses) but...it's just bloated. Making a double album is like a career defining decision, given the rappers and albums you're competing with. It's just wild that no one has really gotten it right since Pac/Big/Wu.
I agree, it seems every rapper double album is their magnum opus but very few can pull it off.

I actually tried to listen to BP2 a few weeks ago, I thought it was trash then and now, so was Kingdom Come.

i see why it didn't make it. By 2002 it sounded a bit dated from what Tim was doing in 2001, Tim had changed up his production a bit in 2002. Plus Hov had switched up his flow to sounding like Young Chris and it also sounds like this is one of the first records they worked on for bp2. Either way, it's still a dope track regardless.

If they had trimmed the fat down and added Early This Morning, Addicted To The Game, Murder Marcyville, and 1,2 Yall, Don't You Know then at worst you're looking at a 4 mic album. Plus lowkey, Jay was spitting on there (ie Hovi Baby).

I think Priest did it the best on PWOWR... Next is 97 Wu.
