This thread encapsulates the problem: people can't have a different opinion. Biden has a spotty record. He has lost two presidential primaries. He makes rude comments and dumb jokes. His VP vetting process is a straight-up mess. The issue is how to prevent another Trump for winning. I keep hearing that the progressive agenda is not popular but Medicare for All has a positive reception from almost every demographic. So does a different military policy. Maybe we should start demanding better than not trump. Reality if a lot of people didn't act like him, at work and at home, we would not be here. Straight up, we have a culture issue. Just going back to normal isn't enough. Just more the old stuff will lead to another Trump.

Biden has been in office 50 years. He had time before trump even ran for office to solve these issues. What will he do in four years that he could not do in 50 years?

Biden being an old white man has a great shot at winning here and even if he doesn't, Trump is having to pour way more resources in here than he ever imagined.

Because he had to be pushed, and even then, some archaic ideas on foreign policy (Israel) still remain. You keep making this a far left far right argument when it's about why do we expect the status quo to fix trumps mess? Georgia is a republican state and no Dem has won that in a federal presidential election in years. Saying Bernie would not win means little because Dems base is clearly the upper midwest, of which Hillary lost 2 of those three last time. There is no plan to prevent someone like trump from winning again, just respectability politics. Biden needs to be more that what brought us to this point in the first place.
