I’m sorry but, Biden doesn’t deserve to be president.

:scust:A one party system would be worse than this two party mess we have now.

One party isn’t one ideology tho. Let’s say Dems win for the next 20 years. You’d bet the party would splinter off.

I think the policy angle was more about new voters not joining in after she picked up some more liberal positions. In my canvassing it was common to hear folks say they didn't believe she would follow through and she was just merely pandering for votes.

Imagine how unlikable you have to be for people get upset at you for quoting Beyonce lyrics. :russ::mjlol:
Yeah people just never believed her and she seemed inevitable. Also, I think being named Clinton took off the shine of first woman president. I often joked that Hillary Rodham would have won.

You would think if this is the case you wouldn't reply. But this position is also weird when he is going to get millions of votes on election day. It's not some out of bounds option, it is very real. Wouldn't debating it intellectually instead of with vitriol go a longer way to changing people's minds? Or are you not interested in trying to get less people voting for Trump?
LOL you're clueless if intelligent debate is going to change the minds of that 30 percent who are loyal to Trump? I'm not even talking about people who begrudgely voted for him because the other option is Hillary. I'm talking about folks wearing Maga hats after 4 years of Trump and after seeing his response to the Coronavirus and still think " I want more of that".

Get this naive nonsense out of here son. Have you talked to Trump supporters before, and attempted rational discussion with them? I have. These people are fueled by hate as much as they are supposedly fueled by policy.

Looks like his base is eroding. if 30 percent becomes 22 or 23, he can't win. Remember, many northern Trump voters went for Obama twice.

OK what's the best way to engage with them, with equal or more intense vitriol? If that's your position I disagree.

Nope. Just don't engage. Don't misunderstand, I'm not saying to not engage with people with people with differing opinions. But if you talk to enough of these people you will realize that its not really a political opinion for them. Its a cult of adherence to an individual or set of beliefs. Their only ideology is to the "Own the libs" and increasingly there is a number of them who think "killing the libs/communists/Marxists/BLM/ANTIFA" as an ideology. These are individuals not worth engaging with because they are zealots. It's like trying to argue a Jesus freak out of believing in god. It will not work.

Secondly, we can't ignore that anti-black racism and just general racism is deeply ingrained in the American psyche and this often drives irrational hatred. There are a lot of people in this country who would rather see the whole country burn to ashes and debris than see a black person be on equal footing with them.

There is some video a guy interviewing people at a trump rally and he interviews this Cuban lady and asks her why she didn't like Democrats. She said they are socialist and he asked her to define what Socialism is. She then states anything that helps all these black people. This is not someone who is convertible. She is blinded with so much hate for "the other side' that she probably wishes they were all killed.

Again, I disagree. It's no problem for me to spit facts and logic @ idiots. It doesn't get me upset or aggravated. Not everyone is gaining smarts and maturity at the same rate. There are also, neo-Nazis who renounced the ideology and make it their duty to convert others. People do change and it is always worth it to speak sense if given the opportunity. I don't let people's words get to me.
