So you’re mad because an avout fan of frank miller and the dark knight returns wanted to use Carrie as robin? The same Carrie who’s quite the fan favorite and is a great character in her own right?

:francis:I don’t understand this place sometimes
Word, remember that time you said you prefer Batman comics that had a Robin in them but were fine with him not being in BvS? lol That made a whole lot of sense.

I’m sorry did I say she was? No. I said she’s a fan favorite. Doesn’t mean she’s bigger than the other Robins. But there’s nothing wrong with Carrie being in a movie especially since he was clearly influenced by frank miller. It would make sense he’d want Carrie to be his robin. Makes all the sense in the world.

Dude has stupid ass ideas (Batman murdering ppl, Doomsday being Zod, Killing Clark and then bring him back with no explanation to his friends/coworkers)

but they need to keep him on board in some capacity for the fight scenes

The fight scenes in MOS and BVS are better than everything else in every DC film that has been released to date. They were on some real life DBZ ish, most directors don't have the vision to do that

as great as Black Panther was all of those fight scenes were ass, u gotta admit.

A Zack Synder directed Black Panther film might have sucked but Imagine the fight scenes Zack would have cooked up for Black Panther
Black Panther didn't need great fight scenes to be great, but the DC movies need spectacular fight scenes just to make them tolerable. There was absolutely no reason to take a shot at the billion dollar GOAT just to prop up DC.

No it didn't, They told a great story and the fighting was secondary and that's hard to do with comic book films. Black Panther's character doesn't have to rely on fights to be interesting.
Yes it did, somethings wrong there when the action doesn't match up with the quality of the rest of the film which was great. His hand to hand combat in the comics is second to none why not show that in the film

COMIC BOOK MOVIES SHOULD BE EXACTLY LIKE THE COMICS, NOT THE ONES I DIDN'T READ, BUT THE ONES I READ AND LIKED, NO OTHER VERSION MATTERS EVEN IF WHAT I READ WAS FROM TWENTY YEARS AGO:damn:
:snoop:Will let you collect your daps as intended but are we going to act like straying from the core of the characters is the norm in movies? Generally the fandom is fine with directors telling their own stories with the charcaters as long as the charcaters are actually recogniszable in character to their comic counter parts.

And in this case including Carrie as the sidekick of an older Batman is canon. So where’s the problem?

The point he’s making, and he can correct me if I’m wrong, is that a lot of fans want one interpretation of a character and that interpretation has to be the one they fell in love with. Ignoring anything else that came before or after it. So for someone who didn’t grow up on dark knight returns, having Carrie is blasphemy. For someone who didn’t grow up on daredevil, they can’t undersrand why kingpin isn’t a Spider-Man villain. For someone who only grew up on X-men cartoons instead of the comics, a lot of shyt to them will seem like blasphemy.

This.

And to add to that..... no one will come down or criticize studios/directors changing the story or origin of characters as like as A) It makes sense ala Watchmen or B)It’s fukking awesome and they blow it out of the park ala Logan.

But you can’t just be taking casual liberties on some “I’m the director, this is my movie, I’m making of a character you grew up a fan of and loved but fukk THAT AND fukk YOU, I’m gonna make this to my VISION cuz I’m smarter than ***insert legendary comic book writer and character creator***

It is not canon to the main universe, it is as canon as any other elseworld series. Also the issue isn’t that Snyder was going to introduce her at least with me. It’s the fact he was going to introduce her without introducing any other Robins prior to her. Snyder was foolish and wanted to take big events from comic stories and throw them in the blend because they was “cool”. He didn’t want to earn the developments and just made things happen, look at Marvel and even to a lesser degree Fox and old man Logan.
