Why did it turn into 1 then? Footlocker used to stay having nikkas running outta that bytch with boxes of shoes. In that mall's entire existance they only had 2 national retail stores and they were JC Penney and footlocker. How in the fukk can a mall in a city with 3 professional teams only have 2 national retail stores in it since it's existance? And JC Penny's left eastmont when the 1st nintendo's came out in the late 80's. Females was getting raped in the parking lot when Snoop had a concert there and never showed up.

my nephew's cousin (his dad side) got killed. some girl set him up. as he laid twitching on the street, nikkas stripped him almost naked instead of calling for an ambulance.

I feel your pain OP. Its hard to have a conversation with a nikka who has never left the city he grew up in doesnt know shyt and doesnt give a fukk about whats going on. Even if you can tolerate it alot of times they start to become insecure and envious of you and accuse you of tryna be white n shyt. Deep down alot of hood nikkas have low self esteem and self hate issues. But its still important to stay connected to your roots no matter what because an out of touch negro who c00ns out to assimilate is a damn tragedy. Sometimes those older nikkas just cant be saved and dont want to be. But I gurantee there is at least one lil nikka in the hood that wants to do right but lacks guidance. Those are the ones you need to spend time with. There are other ways to stay loyal without getting caught up...

but the burb people (imo) dont have really strong personalities so they copy shyt, come off as lame, and dont understand certain principles that you learn from being in the hood so you dont even wanna be around them that much.

I appreciate hood cats even more, because them surburban cats don't even send warning shots. Their lack of compassion and callousness suprised me years ago, but now I know them fukkers will go for the throat. One of the reasons I could never marry a white chick.

For instance, I knew a nikka that killed two of his homeboys because they made it out and came back to the hood to visit and he kept talking about how them nikkas is soft cuz they moved out the hood. Mervyns was there but never Sears. I remember Mervyns being upstairs where the police station is now. We never had a Sears in eastmont in my lifetime tho.

The way black ppl spend their money recklessly you would think that somebody would be willing to invest in Eastmont as a Mall because nikkas love to throw their money away on clothes,shoes and other bullshyt. It's no longer even called a mall, it's the eastmont town center. Basically it's a big ass police station.

Nah, I feel right at home whenever I go back to my block. The same people been living there all my life, so I grew up around everyone. It feels like a family reunion every time I go back. Yeah it sucks to see people you love not living up to their full potential, but I can't knock them because that's all they know.

And i was just about to say that a movie theater would make eastmont worth going to again but u right the only reason nikkas go there is for social services or the library now. Mervyns and foot locker has to be before my time though since i move here a few year ago and eastmont been the same wack mall since then.

Ahhhh you were gone for 2 years... Idk what Malcolm could've did... My brother has friends that are MURDERERS and drug dealers... He's a fukking engineer with a wife and kids, and he can still talk to them like it's nothing.... Maybe because he never stopped talking to them... It's not like he's "in the hood" everyday but he can shoot through and Holla and not feel "out of place" he was in "that place" for most of his life.... I got nikkas that have been in and out of jail... Never had a job and they aren't doing shyt... But those are my friends, and I would never feel "out of place" around them... But that's me.

You trippin bruh. You must be one of the few people who are still cool with hood nikkas and experiences no hate. Good for you. The rest of us that made it have a real hard time relating to those nikkas.

Personally, I'm still cool with folks but it's obvious we grew apart. Most of them respect it.. A few others hate on it. That's life.
