I'm entering my "focus on self. No hoes." phase. Any insight?

I put on Kamasi Washington and be scaring the hoes :mjlol:

Be strong breh, women can see when you're on your square. When you're focusing and making strides towards your goals, you're staying consistent with your workouts getting the results you want, you're eating healthier, skin starting to glow (assuming you're not a CAC) You start to have an aura around you like Goku turning Super Saiyan.

I've been on this similar path breh, and some of the women that been approaching :wow: I'm talking natural lots, frost, slim thick black women who are about something. I do my best to stay to the mission but I've slipped up a few times. Even when the Kamasi Washington/Terrace Martin/Knxwledge/Dilla/Madlib/MNDSGN playlist plays in the background. Black women are versatile. Don't be too hard on yourself on this journey, it's all about the consistency :salute:

Tbh over the last 10 years "focus on yourself" has become one of those overused idioms that is nice to say but is meaningless unless you expand on it. IOW without a plan, the emotional high of "i'm focusing on myself now!" will wear thin once you realize you haven't accomplished anything but deprive yourself of p*ssy.

If you're not where you want to be in life, you should lay out some SMART goals. i.e. say you need to get a cert to get a promotion.. well, lay out a 3-month plan of studying 2 hours a day, 4x a week. If your 4 days are Mon/Tues & Thur/Fri... well, you still have Saturday and Sunday to be a thot.

Develop several smart goals (work-related, fitness, entrepreneurial, etc), rank/prioritize them, and see what your schedule would look like if you implemented at least (the most important) one. Challenge yourself to implement 2 or more.
Word. That ain't what this is. I just hit a milestone of self improvement for about 4 months. This is more of a re-up and assessment on that than contemplative.

Until you reconcile with who you are and who you want to be, you'll never get to the šŸ’š of the matter, and you're going to go your whole life living a lie. And more often than not, who you want to be does not align with who you are.
