Of course they are, it’s one of the many ways to control the people. Ever wonder why food that isn’t good for you is cheaper than healthier alternatives?:sas2:
Because it costs less the make bad food. Bad food has a lot of cheap man made chemicals in it.

Eating healthy is not more expensive when you break it down per meal. That lettuce tomato and healthy dressing gonna run you bout $7-8 thats 1 meal from fast food. So you can easily make 4-5 salads for the price of 1 fast food meal.
It's all about knowing how to maximize what you have. You can flip a pack of chicken breast into 4-5 meals and thats if youre eating big (most people are inactive and dont need a whole chicken breast in one serving anyway).
Stretch it out and folks will be straight

U sound like someone talking about eating for 1 when I'm talking about providing for a family of 5.

Mind you...I'm not just talking about fast food. I'm also refering to cheaper processed foods that are available in the super markets. Like the Supermarket around my way has those Predue chicken cutlets for 2 dollars. If I buy 4 of those I have more chicken meat then if I were to buy fresh chicken breast by the pound. Cheaper alternatives will always be the choice for the poor. Chuck ground will always be cheaper then sirloin and ground turkey. If I'm on a budget and I have kids why would I buy the healthier sirloin when I can get more from chuck? This is the reality of poor peoples options.

That's just defeatist crap though. What's your end game? You're literally taking time out of your day to tell people not to try.

There are people working to bring healthier food options for Black people. There are also people working to educate folk on better eating options. Why stand in the way of either one of those goals?

This response is just further proof that some of ya'l are in fantasy land when it comes to talking about realistic options for the poor. You sound like u are more stuck on a fantasy then what actually is. I cant entertain a fantasy when I'm right down the block from a reality that doesn't relate to anything u are talking about.

Word.. I used to be vegan and eat nothing but home cooked meals.

Ate no candy, processed foods, etc. just fruits in between meals.

Now my diet is shyt, but my body still looks good because of genetics, I stay in the gym, and play ball.

I can literally taste the saltiness of my sweat when I play ball :scust:

I gotta get back on that shyt.

You are genralizing but u do make a point. . I've seen parents go extra to make sure their kids had fly gear and sneakers over prioritizing eating healthy. They'll spend money on name brand shyt or the new iphone over having a healthy lifestyle.

It's fantasy land to talk real talk about healthy eating options?

I ain't got the slightest doubt that I spend more real time talking food and nutrition with folk than you do. Lived right there in the Bottoms, ended up teaching and coaching in local schools and volunteered in a food bank. I been practicing what I'm preaching for 15+ years.

We can fight bad government policy AND we can fight for better education in the community. Don't hate on brothers trying to make the community a better place for kids.

Aint nobody say you have to eat sirloin :what:
That ground chuck still 100 times better than fast food. Chuck aint even bad.
Still per meal its gonna be cheaper.
Take that 2 cans of sauce and $2 worth of veggie noodles and you got a meal for 5.

No one is hating on anything. U just made that up.

Keep doing what u do. We can "talk" about healty food options all day....The hood dont change tho. All those methodone clinics doesnt stop people from doing dope. The corner stores provides blunt wraps, crack pipes and needles.....All that preaching against drugs wont stop the hood from getting high. Just like all the advocating u do to eat healty wont stop people from eating fast food as a daily routine. Thats reality.

Some people love the victim card. Excuses to be fat or broke etc. i got people in my fam with a million excuses but way more time than me to eat healthy and work out. I dont even waste my time to motivate tho because the negativity puts me in a foul mood
