This old southern states are still deeply ingrained with racism and stereotypes, the classic good ol boy culture is still pervasive in their communities. If you are upper class you can limit those negative experiences for sure but not fully as you still have to interact with people. it has a low state income tax and is generally friendly to business and corporations than the states in the new england and other left leaning areas
My mother side of the family is from the shreveport , La and little rick Arkansas areas

Bad females in the southwestern part of the state.
But a lot of brothers is fooled cuz white women sleeping with them right? They thinking things have changed right? See I’m the intelligent negro that they don’t like I’m always making white dudes feel inferior on the job and such. Only thing I know about Lafayette is that dude who known on IG for selling pork steaks and turkey necks on the side of the road is from there

I'd say to avoid Louisiana as a whole but I have family in Gonzales and Broussard with is close to Lafayette. They say it's nice

Lafayette, LA was voted the happiest place in the country not long ago for a reason. It’s a college town with a family oriented community.
Check out Duson, Maurice, Carencro, and Scott. All are around Lafayette and are developing.
I never said anything about Happiness fool. You cant measure that anyone.
I DJ all over Louisiana, I know exactly what i'm talking. Louisiana is the most crime ridden state in the US. And it aint just the bigger cities.
