Yep, you see a lot of that pan out in stuff like animation especially. You notice that even a lot of the graphics forerunners like Crysis and Witcher are kinda lacking in that dept. compared to some first party sony stuff.
If there was any PC exclusive game with that kind of funding, I don't even know. It would make something like Crysis 3 be pretty weak. no corners cut on optimization, good scaleability for multiple settings, high end options out the ass, and SCALE, which is what console titles lack the most.
if there is someone to do it, it's valve going by resources (but they wont). Well they might. If half life 3 was pc/steambox exclusive...
People talk about cheap PCs but if you don't have the best of the best, or nearly there, you're going to be left behind. You got your GTX460 two years ago, but everyone on that 680 now.

Yes I do. While I would have liked to see the console, I understand their reasoning in not showing it so that you'd have something big to show later on at E3 and other shows. The meeting served its purpose.
We'll get the console reveal and price at E3.
Like I said earlier, the megaton was the 8 gigs of GDDR5 ram, x86 architecture, and pretty much giving developers everything they want. The remote play features, gaikai...cmon dog, that PS4 is a fukkin beast.
My only concern now is price. I'm personally coppin regardless, but they can't go higher than 500 on the price. If they pull off 399, it's a wrap next gen.
Steambox fits that gap of gamers who want the 'power' of PC but aren't technically knowledgeable enough to configure their system. I enjoy my PC because I can get the most out of it - I know what the fukk I'm doing, but it's definitely not for everyone out there.

Cheaper is subjective. You can build a cheaper machine, but a high end PC video card alone costs more than the PS4 will. And that's not even the best card out.

Games are cheaper thanks to places like Steam, but there's no reselling of games. Also there's performance issues with PCs where you'll sometime have to wait for a new driver from ATI/Nvidia to play the game without various performance issues.
A top of the line PC will beat a console though. Maybe not year one, but definitely year 2 on.
There's pluses and minuses to each platform. I did PC gaming for a while, but I've been out since ~2005 I guess. I spent this whole gen on the console. I might build a gaming PC, but there's not a single PC exclusive I care about so who knows. Truth be told I'm more excited for the Wii U than the PS4. I just love Nintendo games I guess.

actuakllyits better on PC especially NBA2kNBA 2K looks like a completely different game on the PC...its a MUCH better experience.

My brothers & cousins all stop by and play, that is better than playing online. And 3 of my friends have gaming PCs

I cant imagine playin sports games on a PC...shyt just screams corny to me...not graphics wise... just overall...graphics aint everything...which is why for years consoles>>>> pc to me...its just this past Gen where the gap has started to close for me more cause the innovation and game creativity aint where it used to be on consoles imo...last great gaming gen was the Dreamcast, PS2, XBox, Gamecube etc era...where the variety in gaming was phenomenal to me...literally over half these games bore me cause they all shooters...im gettin sick of it...even those dont have the variety that they used to...when something different comes out people complain that its not like the other shyt they been playin...shyt I been goin back and playin Timesplitters 2 and 3 lately and the shyt has been more fun than majority of the new shyt out...and it aint just nostalgia cause my son wanted to play Halo and I put in Timespitters and he didnt want me to turn it off...games just dont have charisma anymore...
