in my living room i have a gaming PC, a 360, a PS3, a Wii U. i don't play any of them all that frequently mainly on the weekends when i'm not working but its not like i had to choose one over the other and no i don't make a ton of money i'm just not dead broke.

You do realize that you're coming across as throwing a temper tantrum just because they didn't show you enough games today. That's basically it. You, HHL4E and others are just sounding bitter. The sharing option on the PC is not in one connected set up. It's not one single service. It's not done so intuitively. But go ahead and tell me that you easily upload your best gaming moments online via video all in one click on a regular basis.
Translation: I expected more than any rational person should expect from a show that is coming out pre-E3 and now I'm going to draw all sorts of crazy conclusions based in very little fact and be reactionary and saw that I'm jumping to PC as if PC gamers and console gamers are the same group of people and haven't remained separate forever for a reason. The type of people that are or will become PC gamers were never Sony or Microsoft's market and never will be.
Stop it fam. :thiswork: I love this fake "innovative" shyt that everyone is on when if you were gaming on a PC right now all you would have is better graphics and a smoother running game (which may not be noticeable) and none of the other features on the PS4 without going through multiple channels. All that "you can hook your PC up to your TV with HDMI" shyt is ridiculous because most people do not want to do that in the first place. They prefer two distinct entities. If you were going to try a PC, you were going to do it anyway and were inclined to, nothing Sony or Microsoft did was ever going to drive you to that.
Today all Sony proved is that they are good at not marketing their system. They might as well have had Clint Eastwood up there talking to an empty chair saying there was a PS4 in it. Tech demos of games that may or may not show up on the system...Like FF7 (I know you remember that tech demo) Its just a huge waste of time. But hey, people can do whatever they want with their money, I just don't get why you have a fukking event and not show the device. Its like Apple saying they are going to have a iPhone6 event and not show the phone but show the charger that goes with it. Its frustrating. I'm sorry. Until we see the PS4 actually running a game today was nothing more than pump fake. So lets wait until E3 and continue talking about the specs and what the PS4 is really going to do.
Games are way cheaper. WAY cheaper breh! It's crazy how expensive console games are. This is where PC gaming eventually becomes "cheaper". It will probably take a year or two to break even, depending on how much you spend and what the next gen consoles price at.

They said they showed the controller because they had to in order to do the demos. They purposely didn't want to show every damn thing tonite. What would you look forward to at E3 and other conferences....

I love PC gaming, but there's one major advantage consoles have over PCs, and that would be budget for games. God of War 3 cost nearly $50 million & GT5 was over $60 million to make, if there was a PC developer out there that could dump that kind of cash into game development PC games would come close to CG level. Even something as amazing looking as Crysis 3 didn't even cost that much to make.
The Steambox may change things though, with these new consoles being so close to PCs in terms of architect it could make sense to switch to PC since the ports should be simple.

Who knows. How about you show your PS4 at your PS4 reveal event in New York for starters. Not show a fukking controller and talk about the ability to "share" your experiences while playing. I don't know what warped ass world people are living in but when you say you are going to reveal something you don't tease, you REVEAL. It was a sad showing for their hardware. If the shyt isn't ready don't even waste time like this. But I understand Sony is having financial issues and they have to give people something..but a couple of trailers and a controller? Really? You think this was a successful "debut" of the PS4!?!? Be honest.

The only reason to own consoles is for exclusive games. If the type of exclusives we are going to get are on the level of what we saw today then there is no point in dropping 600 in the fall. Just wait till the console is 300 then pick up what you missed for cheap.
Im praying MS knocks it out the park on the XBLA front because those games are what have kept me interested in console gaming the past 2 years. The PC gets a lot of those games and more though.
