The MCU will be fine when people realize that 'superhero' is not a genre.

Marvel just dropped an existential sci-fi Epic that has more in common with Raised By Wolves than it does Hawkeye.

The point of the multi-verse and all of these sub-sections of Marvel is so they can continue to branch off into other genre's of film with the source material.

The way things are going it affords them to maintain the concept of the MCU without adhereing so much to the sacred-timeline as it were. The sandbox is getting bigger, the projects are getting more abstract, theres an ebb and flow of self containment and expansion and that can be awesome if you let it.

Marvel Studios has done something amazing thus far, but they have to change, they have to evolve. And OP like most humans don't like change.

Keep the faith.

you have to think about it in a more larger picture
Marvel just produced the ending of 10+ years of storytelling. that audience is broken in 3 categories. they will still watch more content, they're done watching mcu aggressively, they're never watching another marvel movie again.
now you know that you need to create the same results 10+ years later with an even better return.
the only option is to aggresively create new content/offerings to now include everyone
your core fan base won't leave but now you have to make new core fans
we're in the next adoption era of the mcu
I didn't like black widow but people say they loved it
Wandavision brought in a ton of new fans
Moon knight will
so they're making widely different forms of content and I bet it will all connect for the next big event

Eh it’s obvious they’re setting up to make a Secret Wars set of films based off of Jonathan Hickmans run. They just have to set up Fantastic Four and X-men and continue planting seeds of the multiverse collapsing with Multiverse of Madness and all the cosmic fukkery.

The current phase isn't even 1/4th of the way done. :dwillhuh:

There is still 7-8 movies in phase 4 that haven't come out yet. And a few TV series.

This could all be a major cluster fukk but it's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too early to tell.

Everyone figured out the phase 1 Thanos arc early because they showed the Infinity Gauntlet in the first Thor movie.

Marvel hasn't tipped their hand to that extent in phase 4 yet. There's threads of a few things but again....we're barely 25% into the current phase.
