Look we have a gay black hero, look we have a deaf hero, look we have a gay native American hero. And those identities bring nothing to their character or just allows them to check a box and pander.
If they make them good I dont see the problem:yeshrug:
If they just ride on that and put out shytty content then:camby:

A Villa Straylight.
There are too many sections of the MCU and it's going to need different sections runner's and have Feige be the head series runner. They're gonna have to break it up like the Marvel editorial offices.

So when the overarching story does come into focus you will be back? Because trust they are doing an overarching story.
At this point I don't really give a shyt. They're stretching themselves thin, oversaturating the market, and I don't really give a fukk about anybody besides Spider-Man

Its the fans fault

Thinking loving the MCU is a personality type

Throw in media journalists slobbing the knob

MCU will be fine. I’m more worried about Black Panther and the nonsensical decision not to recast T’Challa. Their about to fukk up one of franchises with the GREATEST potential story and financially speaking de
Is it possible to make a good movie without recasting?
You in particular expressed a lot of faith in Coogler as a film maker prior to the 1st BP. Is it gone now behind this one decision?

Yes.

Simply because if Coogler was doing an original film, i’d have all the faith in the world.

But Black Panther is an established character with over 40 years worth of canon and history. He’s literally THE franchise. If Martin Scorsese announced he was making a Batman sequel with NO Bruce Wayne i’d have doubts. If Steven Spielberg announced he was making a Superman sequel with NO Clark Kent i’d have doubts. Why? Because those characters are synonymous with the franchise. T’Challa IS the Black Panther, and the few times in the comics where he wasn’t were few and far in-between and always set up for him to get back the mantle.

You don’t make a Black Panther movie without T’Challa PERIOD. I don’t care whose directing

They have way too many characters, I hope they keep them all in their old little groups, The Averngers and their individual movies being the VIP and dealing with Khan or whatever, Doctor Strange (haven't watched spiderman no spoilers plz) can interact and team up with Chan shi, Blade, Moonknight and all the magical shyt to deal with Mephisto or Dark Strange, the eternals, Guardians, Ms. Marvel can have their own cosmic threath and team up to fight it.

Maybe in 10 or 15 years when they have introducced the F4 and Xmen they can do a two movies, 6 hours extravaganza with EVERYONEEEEE! teaming up to deal with Galactus.

Wow, just makes me look sideways at all your prior praise for the guy.
All the Pro recast people just gloss over the unique circumstance this movie is in but whatever. I am not pro recast, I hope Nakia is the new BP. There is no male Black actor out there that's better or would feel as organic as her character taking the mantle.

are people not picking up that they probably aren't doing another thanos-singular event. There will probably be 3 or 4 different "endgame" type of story arcs.
cosmic
multiverse
mystic
street/earth
I think they are doing both, first the mini arcs that will then roll into the big ass event. But yeah it won't be like last time, like apparent this early. It will take more time since they increased the content so much.

Why do they need to “bring something to their character” rather than just being a character?

Does every straight white male protagonist we have in movies have their straight “whiteness” bringing something to their character?
