OP what you're feeling is actually what everyone feels whether they wanna believe it or not breh

No material thing will ever satisfy...all the technologies you spend your money on hopin it will forever satisfy you, will never will.

No inventtion made by human hands will satisfy

It is vanity..and I understand the emptiness of it all.

We were not made for the things of this world breh
Rather the things not of this world

You can get to the point where you're not checking for much. That can also mean you've gotten most of what you want at the moment :ehh:

Last month I got a camera just to create a new hobby for myself.

This month I'm going to build a PC so I can mess around with photo processing and handle my media better.

Next month? Who knows, I'll always find some shyt to do. But the Wii U isn't gonna be one of them that's for sure.

Like someone said before build a home theater pc. You can get a cable card from your television provider, and have a custom guide for your digital cable and then load up XBMC/WMC/Boxee to handle your file library. Use plex and have your files available to play on any of your devices.

Make sure all your stuff is in the cloud, and easily accessible and organized so you can switch to a new device/computer at a drop of a dime. But don't invest in Apple's or Microsofts cloud ecosystem; the whole point is to be able to jump from OS to OS

If you've done all that why not learn a programming language? If you enjoy the web, learn the basics of web programming; if you prefer mobile devices learn how to build an iOS or Android App; if you like computer apps, dive into that.

If you aren't entertained by technology anymore, challenge yourself to learn more about it and contribute to technologies growth.

word.. i grew up on 56k and being disconected everytime the phone rang

we done came a long way :wow:

:lawd:

But what you remember about GoZilla and converting realaudio to mp3, only way we could mimic broadband speeds that didn't exist back in the day. Or riding your bike to office depot/office max and coping a 50 spindle of CD-Rs for $85.

How we progressed :mindblown:

If you're an xbox guy and have a television provider with a horrible guide interface and need a switch you could be rocking this:
[ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lNJT0V_VhU[/ame]

Then you setup media browser and your file library looks like this:
[ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDPMQlLxlDY[/ame]

If I didn't have the xbox as the core device in my living room I'd probably just rock XBMC in Ubuntu

I don't have a TV provider, I just have Comcast Xfinity and their local channels.

Right now all my viewing is from NBA League Pass, downloads, Netflix, HBOGo, and whatever comes on local channels (which comes in the clutch cause I get all my Bulls games).

Hopefully I can find some piff deals with Black Friday/Cyber Monday coming up cause I'm about to go in with this shyt.

:pachaha:

I have an Xbox and PS3 in the mancave, a PS3 in the family room with the local cable, and a Roku in the bedroom with local cable. Thanks for posting the vids breh.

Yea there's a whole subculture on home theater pcs...just start googling "htpc" and find a good forum dedicated to the way you want to build yours. I'm in no way an expert at it, so you should look into finding a niche forum where people can answer any questions you have.
